42/52 & 43/52

So Apparently I took zero pictures on week 42 until the picture below Saturday, and Sunday's Selfie Sunday. Not sure what I did all week other than work, But apparently it wasn't noteworthy!  So this is random, but if you are as fascinated by Polygamy as I am, there is a 4 episode show on Netflix you need to watch! It's called 3 Wives, 1 Husband and BOY HOWDY. Hot Mess. I couldn't turn away. And had to text my fellow polygamy tv show loving friends to see if they had watched it.  Also, the guy pictured above looks like Em's husband and it was alternating hilarious and creepy.  It was a balmy 25 degrees outside as I was getting ready for church. It's Winter here in the Midwest apparently.  Post Church Selfie!  Since it's Winter it's only appropriate to listen to Christmas Music, RIGHT??!!!  That week was my time once again to visit my friends at the retirement home. I hung out on the Alzheimer's wing and we had a great...

Twas the night before Christmas Eve......

In typical fashion I am about three years behind the rest of the world and didn't realize that Blogger had a new interface. I know, I know, I struggle. So I finally switched and I have to say it does much it much easier to blog! Maybe I will blog more often now? ha ha.... I also messed with the template settings a bit and the background. I wanted to clean up the links and overall look and feel of it a bit. I think it looks pretty good! I also think I will have my fabulous friend Jordy make me a new blog background for my birthday coming up. I need to start thinking about designs!! I have enjoyed my quiet time at work with my co workers gone. I've gotten to choose my own music and sound level and actually gotten to choose whether I want music on or not! Glory!!  And I have finally jumped on the spotify bandwagon and finally feel like a cool kid. (Just ignore the fact that I listened to NSYNC's Christmas CD and Charlie Brown) It seems like half of my church uses ...

Lazarus Awakening

Our women's bible study has been doing "Lazarus Awakening" by Joanna Weaver. We studied her two other books, which I blogged about last year, and we just finished this book. Sadly I was sick for most of this 8 week study so I wasn't able to attend many of them. But I made it back for the last chapter and boy howdy, did it really hit me. I have read the chapter twice since the lesson last week and I'd like to share some of it now. Hopefully this will translate to you, but I also want to write this for me, I want to remember what I learned and what God is trying to show me. This semester has been really hard for me. I've went through alot of hard health issues, struggles, I've seen people I love lose people they love, there has been so much pain and suffering that I admit, I have asked God why. Why do these Godly people seemingly have horrible thing after horrible thing happen to them? Why do I have to deal with this constant health issues that I feel all al...

Becoming a Woman of Excellence-Discretion

So I am really loving my Women's Bible Study at my church on Weds nights. I was wanting to meet people and get connected since I don't know that many people at my big church, and it is really helping. We're doing a study on becoming Women of Excellence and I cannot tell you how much I needed this! I am learning so much and growing, well hopefully growing, as a result of it! I have met so many wonderful women of all age groups and experiences and I LOVE hearing their take on scripture and where they are at in their lives and walk with God. Tonight we talked about Discretion. Whew, boy howdy, did I ever need this chapter! I was hoping we could spend a few weeks on it because I knew I really needed it! When I think of discretion I think of my Mom, she never says anything improper and always has a graceful classy way about her. I aspire to be like that but am sadly nowhere close. What I got out of tonight was about TALKING. I do alot of talking. And I've realized, thanks to...
