My Faith

Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile."

How often do we sit around people and not even think about their enternal life?

We are so quick to tell someone the latest movie thats out or a new book to read, or Oh have you heard about this new resturant??!

But yet we keep our mouths shut and don't dare to say anything to anyone lest we offend someone or appear "weird" or be called "the jesus person"

I don't want to do that anymore. I want to shout loud and clear from the rooftop, from my truck, from my balcony, from the Target makeup section, from EVERYWHERE I GO That I know Jesus and he has completely changed my life and saved me from a life of despair and heartache and YOU CAN TOO!!!

"For by GRACE you have been saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not as result of WORKS , so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

You can't get to Heaven by doing good works. Giving money to relief, being a nice person, helping old ladies cross the street, it is not something that you can do. You have to have an active Faith in God and realize that you are a sinner and only he can save you from your sins!!

Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

We are all sinful creatures. We were made sinful and there is nothing, NOTHING you can do to avoid that!!

back to Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the fist of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord!!

GREAT NEWS!!!

We are sinners from birth and have no god redeeming qualties but yet " But God demonstrates his own love toward ys, in that whiel we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)

Now I don't know about you but when someone is going comepletely against what I want and like and doing their own thing and ignoring me I am not exactly in a kind hearted mood towards them. Thats exactly how we were to Jesus, but yet he DIED for us!! DIED! Suffered on the cross a horrible painful death, but he did it for us.

For you.

For me.

I don't deserve that.

And neither do you.

But he did it because he loved us.

and why?

So that we could follow him and have eternal life.

"if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"! (Romans 10:9)

Ummm thats pretty awesome!!

And what happens after you decide to follow Jesus?

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1)

And really my favorite verse that for me just shows what being a child of God is.

Romans 8:35,38-39

Who shall seperate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or [persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?.. I am CONVINCED that neither death, not life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor ANYTHING ELSE in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I know that Jesus loves me and died for me and has prepared a place for me in heaven. Knowing him rocks my world. I can't imagine life without him and really don't know how people function without him in their lives. I'm no theologan and I have a hard time getting things out the right way but I just want you to know that I KNOW JESUS and You should too! If you have any questions please leave a comment or tweet me CharityBrooke sometimes I suck at explaining things but I would LOVE to show you my Saviour!

January Recap

Tap, Tap, Tap. Is this thing on? No, your eyes aren't deceiving you, I'm back blogging after almost a year of not posting anything. I did a month long Prayer and Fasting with my church and abstained from Social Media (more about that to come) and during that time I realized I really missed blogging! So here I am! Clearly I'm rusty at this because I managed to upload my pictures in the opposite order, and I'm too lazy to go through and move each and every one of them, so we are going to look back at the month of January from the end to the start! Let's go! The Last day of January was a busy one. Well for me at least, after spending most of 2022 on my parents couch, inbetween surgeries, doing anything is busy for me. I had a piano tuning for Old faithful, my new to me baby grand, so I hung out in my bedroom while my tuner was there, and worked on my laptop. Before that I had my 1 year Brow touch up with Marissa at Lafayette Microblading. It had actually been over a

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t

Frugal Friday- (Some) Tips and Tricks on how I get the most bang for my buck

(Shoutout to Ollies for the perfect Picture for this blog post) Remember when it was January and I said I was going to blog more this year? Well, it's now December, and I haven't blogged since January so clearly that goal went out the window.  BUT! I am here blogging today to share something I'm passionate about! And that is SAVING MONEY! And spending the least amount of money on things. Listen, the lower the price of something is, the more I like it.  I was waxing poetic about this subject to a friend on Marco Polo this week and decided that I felt the need to share it with the world. So, world, (or the three people who read my blog) You're Welcome. Sidenote: These are just some of the ways I stretch my dollars and get money back from purchases. Some of these have referral codes that if you join from them I get some sort of a reward, and some don't have codes, or I'm just not cool enough to know where to find them. Use the code, don't use the code, but plea
