Christmas Week in Review

Well it has dawned on me that I need to blog actual WORDS and not just pictures. Goodness knows my memory is failing as it is, so I want to remember by my blog what went on. So in words here is a review of the past week + Saturday 12-22, I ran around town doing last minute Christmas shopping. I am the person that starts shopping super early and am always done usually before December. But the whole Vegas thing threw me off, so I ran around town getting last minute items. Thankfully I only went to Walgreens and Menards, but that was enough for me! After shopping I babysat Madi that evening, and Bethy, although she would be horrified if she knew I referred to her as someone who needed babysat! We had fun though! After I put Madi to bed, Bethy and I watched Home Alone 3. And let me tell you, it was FUNNY!! I thought it was hilarious! A good time was had by all! Sunday 12-23, I went to church with Katie Marie and really enjoyed it! After church I loaded up my truck with presents and lug

Merry Christmas! Part 1

I realized that I forgot to take ANY pictures of my decorated townhouse! Yikes! It looked nice, although I think I need more decorations since I have a bigger place now! I snapped this picture of my tree and presents right before I loaded them up to head home to the farm.  Here I am all loaded up!!! I was so proud of myself that I made it home in time for Sunday dinner! Except I had neglected to mention that fact to my parents! Whoops!!  Christmas Morning Photo shoot! Thanks to whoever created self timers! I didn't have to wait for Grams to get here to humor me and take my picture! Instead I clicked to my hearts desire while everyone got ready.  My favorite part about Christmas is Dad reading the Christmas story. The funniest thing about Christmas is that every year we do not end the story with Jesus still a baby. I love that my Dad loves to read the Bible so much that he gets REALLY into it. One year we made it almost to Romans. You think I am kidding. I am not. T

I'm being Stalked

Wednesday afternoon I came back from our lunch meeting and opened my bottom desk drawer to get out my contact solution and found this head staring back at me. Needless to say, I yelped. Friday at lunch I opened the fridge to pour myself a nice big glass of cold water.. and was met with this face. Needless to say I forgot the ice I was going to add. I have yet to figure out which student is torturing me, or if it's a group effort. Stay Tuned.

Erin.

This is a very hard post to write. In some aspects I am speechless, trying to wrap my head around what has happened. This morning I found out that one of my dear friends from college, Erin Colby Jasunas, passed away. People you went to college with aren't supposed to pass away when they aren't yet 30. The week after Thanksgiving Erin woke up unable to breathe and was taken to the Hospital, put in a medically induced coma, and put on a ventilator to breathe for her.  In the weeks since then those of us who love her, and even those who don't know her have prayed for her healing. We found out that she had severe Lung Disease and needed a Lung Transplant. She was moved to the top of the list but her body was just too sick and too weak. This week she developed a staph infection and pneumonia. We kept praying. Early this morning Erin woke up in Heaven with our Savior. I have tears in my eyes just typing tha

Meet Arizbel!

Last week the moment I had been waiting for FINALLY arrived!!! Muy Caliente finally had her baby girl! Meet Arizbel! Isn't she gorgeous? I Mean look at that HAIR!!!!!!!!! I loved cuddling her in her little blankie, she was light as a feather! She was just soooooo sweet! She also pooped while I was holding her, which seems to be the norm. Everytime I hold a baby, they are perfectly content and then they poop. I'm not sure if it's a gift but it always happens! Arizbel and Auntie Cherry's first self portrait!  She is just SUCH a sweetheart! It was really hard for me to tear myself away! Her Daddy came into the room, took one look at me snuggling her and said, You're ready to have your own aren't you? Very Perceptive Carlos! And very true! Until then I am going to steal all of the snuggles I can with this little angel!

West Side VIP Night

We got back from Vegas last week and hit the ground running! Wednesday night was our VIP event at our West Side salon. So we all got gussied up! I did my hair and makeup myself and one of our stylists asked me who had done my makeup! She was shocked when I told her I had! Thank you Sephora Smoky Eyes!!!!  Me and Mel. She was a little taller with heels on! I need to quit slouching when I stand next to short people I think.  We were super excited to see Katlyn!!!!!!  So of course we had to take some self portraits!! I'm cracking up over the fact we're two different colors!  There were several outtakes.. Perfection takes 5 tries apparently.  Love my girls!! And our entire group of girls. They all looked soooo beautiful! I was so proud of them like a little Momma!

Vegas Baby!!!!

Prepare yourself for massive picture overload!!!!! I'm finally recovering from Vegas and ready to blog about it! Here are Mel and I at the Airport ready to head out!! We both wore our old man shoes. This cracks me up because you can clearly see the height difference! I am almost a foot taller than her!! We had a 4 hour flight and both rocked out to our ipods the whole way. Thank God for electronics. There was a 18 year old kid hitting on me at the gate and then I got stuck sitting by him on the plane. Thankfully i was able to switch with the guy sitting by Mel, otherwise it would have been a BAD flight! He eventually got the clue and started hitting on another girl farther up. I've never wished for an air marshall more than I did at that moment!!  Finally in Vegas on the tram! We were SOOOO HAPPY at this point!! Euphoric really!  Day one of the conference we played slots on our lunch break! And Mel won 5.00!!!! On a side note, apparently you aren&
