Christmas Week Randoms

The day before I left town I coerced Nicki into helping me draw a Purdue P for my brother's canvas that I painted.  Why I need a faster shutter speed on my camera. Snugglemuffin is a blur!  Gwampa and Snugglemuffin were playing ball. Gwampa laid down on the floor for a rest. I snapped this as a certain little boy was eyeing him with the funniest little smirk on his face, seconds later Gwampa got a ball in the middle of his chest. I laughed so hard!  Visited with Precious and the boys a little bit. Was trying to take a picture of Little Bull(ironic name now) and how huge his is, but he insisted on literally getting up right in the middle of my face.  I love putting on face masks! I felt like I resembled the Hulk in this pic with my green mask.  I read two hardback books over the break. So very relaxing and enjoyable! Not pictured is me watching 4 episodes of Covert Affairs. Finally caught up on that show!

Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spas-#influenster #violetvoxbox

So I put off doing all of my #violetvoxbox tasks until now, so brace yourself for alot of posts! Anywho! I love me a good face mask. Last week I was beyond stressed, really just overwhelmed with everything I needed to accomplish before leaving for home. One night I literally had to give myself a time out, to just sit down and BREATHE. Not working online, not making lists, I just needed a moment. I thought that was the perfect time to get out my little clay spa face mask. I was surprised when I opened the package and instead of being goop that you put on your face, it was literally a MASK, as in, like a super hero mask. It was all one piece and I just had to set it on my face and lay down and relax. I posted on facebook that I slightly felt like I had an Arts and Crafts project on my face :) But I really liked it! It smelled good, felt good, and gave me that moment to just chill out. I needed that. I liked that It was easy to do and not messy at all. I will definitely be pur

Not Your Mother's Clean Freak-Dry Shampoo-#influenster #Violetvoxbox

A few weeks ago I received my Violet Vox Box from Influenster. I was pretty excited to get my first official box! A few months ago I received the #choosesargentocheese box and that was fun, so I was interested to see what was included in this one! I was slightly bummed to receive dry shampoo. For those of you who have curly hair you know why. Curly hair has to be washed with water. Dry shampoo is just not happening. Massive Disaster. Thankfully I have a straight haired friend who loved her some dry shampoo and is the lucky, unlucky? recipient of my dry shampoo when I get samples in my birchbox or now Influenster. She was very excited to have some more dry shampoo!

Christmas and Snugglemuffin come to Indiana!

Sunday morning I was finally done with work and able to head home to the farm! I packed up my stuff and allll of my presents into bags and suitcases and headed out!  I was super excited and dressed up nicely, because I was going to get to see my Snugglemuffin when I arrived at the Farm!  All loaded up in the truck and off I went! I had a nice drive home, luckily traffic wasn't too bad, and I sailed on!  After I got to the Farm Snugglemuffin got back from church with Nana and Grandpa. He was SO Handsome in his little suit! We attempted to get a picture in front of the tree but he was pretty excited.  He quit moving but forgot to smile. Oh well, he is still the most handsome three year old I have ever seen!  He loves helping and setting the table for dinner. I had to giggle when I looked at this picture, he reminds me so much of the Ushers at PCC, they always had to wear red ties.  Me and my SIL! She looked quite lovely that morning as well!!  Snugglem

Audra's Happy Merry Birthday Christmas!

One of my Christmas traditions is to go to Audra's house for dinner the week before Christmas to celebrate her Birthday which is TODAY! YAYS!! and Christmas! This year we lucked out in the photo department as her hubs was there, so we rousted him out of his man cave-ing to be our photographer! Worked sooo much better than using my self timer! Poor Cubs never really got the whole self timer thing. He would look at us like why are we smiling at a camera that no one is behind? Bless his heart.  Now that Auds has her new house she has not one, but two trees to take our pictures by! Hurray! I love hanging out in her fancy living room, these chairs are sooooo comfy!!!  Our gifts were the same exact size, and wrapped in very similiar paper. Great minds think alike!  Cubs was REALLY into the gift opening process! What a good helper!  Can you see the slobber marks on the box? hahah.. Poor little Birchbox!! After months, ok years, of me telling Audie all about #birchbox I

April's Visit and the Recital that wasn't..

So for months I have been planning to hold my studio's recital this past Saturday the 14'th. Invites went out. Programs were designed. A venue was found. Students practiced. And practiced. And practiced some more. Plans were made for April to come to IN and stay with me to help out the day of the Recital and be moral support, and also rejoice with me! April arrived late Friday afternoon. About 2 1/2 hours after April arrived, so did the snowstorm. I stayed up super late Friday night trying to gauge how much snow we were going to get, and whether we should call off the recital. I got up early Saturday, snow is covering everything, and still coming down. Parents were worried, I was worried. Around 9:30 I decided it was in the best interests to cancel it and reschedule for a later date. I didn't want to put anyone in harm's way, and just didn't feel good about all of us being on the road out in the mess. I am very happy I made that call. It only got wo

#Thanksgiving2013

So I realized I should do my Thanksgiving post before it became Christmas.  I had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with my entire family at my parents farm. This little boy showed up, and wait.. WHEN DID HE BECOME A LITTLE BOY???!! Look how long he is! I mean, I know we're tall people, but good grief! (Sidenote: He thinks it's hilarious that I say Good Grief and tries to copy me. However he corrects me that it's GrieP not GrieF. We go back and forth on this, it's a treat to watch/hear let me tell you. After 3 days.. he was still convinced it was Good GrieP) We celebrated his 3'rd birthday while he was in Indiana and I can't believe it's been 3 years.  I love my table buddy!! The most precious moment happened on Friday. Snugglemuffin prayed for lunch for the two of us, and then for the first time he prayed for our family dinner that evening. I nearly went into the ugly cry. I love seeing him grow up and change and develop, but the most important thing a
