My God Is MIGHTY To Save!!!

I love making song lyrics my blog titles if you haven't noticed allready. This song is one of my favorite praise and worship songs, I heard it on the radio this morning and it put me into such a good mood for work! I hung out with Katie and her two sons this weekend and while we were driving around picking up things for Joe's birthday party I noticed she was listening to a Christian Radio station. I loved it! I was shocked though because Lafayette has no had a decent Christian radio station in a long long time. And we all know I will NOT be listening to Rejoice! Heavens knows I listened to it enough at PCC!! She informed me that it was K-Love which is o ut of TX and broadcast everywhere in the US. I loved it! I now have my home and truck turned to that radio station. It really is uplifting!! One of the new songs I heard was "Slow Fade" I'm not sure who it is by but it incorporates the Be careful little eyes what you hear, childrens song. The entire time we were dr

How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand?

I have the sound of music stuck in my head today, thanks to my boss. We even did a lovely duet on How do you Solve a Problem Like Maria... I'm not sure what started it, but I just can't stop!! So its Festive Friday here at Purdue.. And yes, it really is. I did not make up that name, although being Festive Charity I was pretty excited that caught up with the festivity! No fears, I made Sara take a hilarious picture of me and our brochure about today's events. In case you're wondering, Festive Friday is all part of Homecoming here at Purdue. Our building is packed with so many alumni, we are a swarm of black and gold. We have Black and Gold football fridays anyway, but every single person today has on Purdue gear. I wore my official "Blackout" Tee, since its also casual friday but everyone else dressed up. ooopss.. missed the memo on that one! I had to throw on my name badge so that people would know I actually worked her. I had a very trauamatizing event at wor

You're a waterfall, washing over me..

Can I just say how much I love my DVR? Not to mention the Free Spot On Demand. Right now I am watching a free Rascal Flatts concert. It really makes me want to see them in person. They are my favorite band!! I've had a great weekend so far!! Today I went with my co worker Amy and her three kids to the Humane Society to adopt a cat for them. I know those of you who know me quite well are shocked right now, as cats scare me and i don't like them at all.. Thankfully I didn't have to hold any of them! I got to hold her youngest, Branson, who is 13 mos. He is the cutest little thing, and when I say little I mean short, as he is a little chunk! Seriously my arms started to hurt after an hour or so! It was worth it though, he was the sweetest little baby.. Very calm and happy to have me holding him. I finally got him to smile when i tickled him. So precious. It was cute, i would make a face and move my fingers near his neck but not touch him, and he would bury his head in my shoul

When God made you, he must have been thinking about Me..

Yesterday I had the priveledge of going to my friend Amy's wedding. I have known her for 14 years, since she was 9 and i was 12. For most of those years, untill about two years ago-ish, we were inseperable best friends. I was a part of her family, literally. Thankfully, we were able to stay friends, despite growing apart and in different ways, and I was able to share in her wedding yesterday. I cried pretty much through the whole thing. It was so beautiful, and so obvious that she and her new husband, Kevin, were just so in love with eachother. I saw a different side of her than I have ever seen and it was wonderful. I am so beyond happy for her that she found someone that literally does treat her like Cinderella. He is so gentle with her, just watching them at the reception yesterday brought tears to my eyes. It was a great day, seeing all of her dreams come true. It was bittsweet in a way, because I'm not nearly as close to her as I used to be and just seeing her yesterday I

Attack of the Rabid Rabbits!!!

ok, so I have this fear of bunnies, YES I said bunnies. Don't mock, if you had been chased by a pack of wild, rabid, rabbits when you were in your teen years you would be afraid as well!! i stupidly told Sara, my new co worker about my fear a few days ago. after lunch i found THIS hanging by my desk (it had been there for two hours... not that observant!)

I'll be your crying shoulder....

Happy Pink Weds to ALl! (and yes, I know I'm not writing in Pink) I have been bad about updating my blog lately, it seems like I have alot going on, but when I sit down and think about writing something, I can't think of anything entertaining to write about! I think I have finally settled into my new routine and schedule. Its funny, now that I get off work an hour and a half later than I did at my old job, I do so much more in the evenings. Before I would get off work, be home in ten mins, and spend the rest of the day/evening sacked out on my couch doing nothing. Now I actually come home and WORK OUT, yes I said WORK OUT. (I'm in my second week of regular exercise, more about that later.) Clean, make dinner, and prepare food for lunch, and do domestic type of things. Its weird, I finally feel like I have officially grown up! You would think being 26, soon to be 27 (EEGADS!! MAKE THE AGING STOP!!!!) I would have had this feeling several years before, but no, its just hittin
