Today I had a wonderful Lunch with one of my besties, Katie Marie!!! Here she is with the Flowers. My hair looks MUCH BETTER and way less orange/red now that its dry and out in the daylight! Here we are together, I'm seriously struggling, but Katie looks adorable!! I <3 Her!!!!

Well I experiemented last night at highlighting my hair. Katie wasn't able to come over and we all know that when I get a bug in my ear to do something to my hair i just can't wait! I started out doing strips of highlighter and then ended up putting it all over. The end result is a tad more red than I wanted. I didn't leave it on long enough, but over all its a nice change, and hey you can't beat the price!!

1. I am now a BLONDE! Well, kind of. I highlighted it myself Thursday night and went a little crazy.Its not as fabulous as Shasta's but, really, who can be that fabulous?! I'll have a picture taken at work! 2. I cover my eyes when ads for scary movies come on TV. They freak me out. Yes, I'm a wuss!! 3. I'm watching re runs of Friends on TBS, I love this show!! 4. I biked 20 miles tonight. I've managed to work out three times this week. WOOT! GO ME!! 5. I'm babysitting the bubbies Saturday morning, despite having to get up early, I'm so excited!! 6. I've been on a HUGE cleaning spree this week at my apt. I still have to go through my walk in closet, but I'm getting close! 7. I have this huge desire to go shopping and no money in my budget for it. sighs..

The time where I am very bored with my plain brown hair and I get the urge to dye it. What color this time? Well Thursday night Miss Katie Marie is coming over and we're going to use my highlighter to go blonde! YEAH!! Or at least have blonde highlights. Knowing my luck with my hair turning different colors, remember the garfield 'do of may 08? yeah, who knows what color of hair I will show up to work with on Friday!! JESUS IS COOL!!

Beastie was SO HAPPY to see me! Look at his tounge rolling out to the side! I love my puppy!! Precious was a tad ambivalent, only wanting food. She licked my hand to see if it tasted like bread. Alas, no. Have you ever been licked by a cow? They have the weirdest tounges. Feels like Sandpaper. Moist Sandpaper, but Sandpaper nonetheless. I kept giggling. I tried to tell her she didn't need any more bread. Since she is barely 4 ft tall and THIS WIDE. She didn't take that too well.. GIVE ME BREAD!! When It became clear I wasn't giving her any food, she refused to look at me, and made mad snorting noises. For a cow she has alot of attitude. Hmmm.. wonder where she gets that from? Thankfully my Beastie is much more happier than his sister, Precious. He was so happy to see his Momma Charity!! I love my pets!! And can you believe I've been home at the farm all weekend and all I took pictures of were my dog and cow??!!! JESUS IS COOL!!

I really have nothing super exciting to talk about today, but I felt like blogging anyway!! Today was Spring Fling at work, we all got out of work at 11:30 and there was free lunch and fun activites you could participate in if you wanted to. I chose not to and ran some errands of my own. I decided to go shopping and try and find my SIL some birthday presents, since you know, her birthday is TODAY. I'm really bad about getting people's gifts to them on time, but only if they live in a different state. Just ask Kim. IN the 7 years we've been friends she has gotten ONE present before christmas, or her birthday. ONE. What can I say, I struggle!! Anyways I found some really cool LIZ type of gifts that I'm very excited to give to her! I also found a nice white short sleeved shirt that was halfway dressy. I don't really have a white shirt to wear with colored skirts, so I was glad to find one. After that I felt the need to go to Sonic for a Cherry Limeade of course! I used

Today was another beautiful day in IN. I spent my lunch break outside sitting by the fountain, the spray of the water kept sprinkling on my face and arms, the sun burnt my feet and gave me some color on my v neck, it was glorious. Just GLORIOUS! Tonight I took my reading outside and sat on my balcony for an hour. Very relaxing. I am determined to get some color on my skin other than chalk white.

It has been pointed out to be that I should possibly live in a bubble with all the calamities that befall me. I'm beginning to agree with that. This is what happened to me Saturday. I was looking in the mirror at my outfit, turned around, tripped over my fan and it fell and hit my foot. Its no Tuesday and it still hurts. Owie.

I made a quick stop at Payless after work today and lo and behold I found the most exciting thing EVER!! If you've known me for awhile you will know that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Icee's, preferrably, Cherry or Coke! It all started when I was young and went to a Wal Mart for the first time with my Aunt M. she bought me one and instantly I was hooked. Well now they sell these, only 1.00 for 4! and they are only 80 calories a piece! SCORE!!!

Tonight after work I ran to Papa John's to take advantage of their 4.99 single topping pizza and my WOOT WOOT 4.00 off coupon! YEAH!! Anyways as I was standing at the counter reveling in the fact I was getting a pizza for a dollar, the pizza guy hit on me. He was covered in tattoos head to toe and about 3 inches shorter than me. AT LEAST. His stellar idea of a pick up line? You smell good. I said, excuse me? You smell good, he repeated, and proceeded to lean across the counter to get a better sniff!!!!!!! I tried to cover it with humor and said thanks, well i showered today... He said yeah, you just smell sooo good *big sniff* so much better than the pizzas.. ooohhkay.... that was it for me. I grabbed my pizza and headed for the hills. I think it was God's way of telling me I should have went home to work out to fit in my bridesmaid dress.. I'm so never going back to that Papa John's again!

I had a rather odd/frightening experience this morning. I walked out of my apt building, only to come face to face with a very LARGE goose. We stared down eachother for a second, and then all of the sudden it opened it mouth and started making this hideous noise and heading towards me. Not one to stick around and find out what would happen next, I immediately started running for my life. (And wouldn't you know it, I was parked almost to the opposite end of my building, thanks to getting home late the night before.) I ran to my truck as fast as I could hearing it chase me as I ran, hit the automatic unlock button and hopped inside, clutching my huge purse to me. If I had been thinking straight I could have just hit the darned thing with my purse. That would have stunned it for a second at least! I look out my passenger side window and there is the goose staring at me! It had evil eyes. I think it was glaring the death glare. So I think to myself, HAH! I will show you stupid feathere

We had some excitement the other day at work, there was a FIRE behind our building! I was sitting at my desk and suddenly I smelled this horrible smokey, nasty smell.. And then we saw someone running by saying FIRE! It was all very thrilling. Needless to say I had to go outside and take a picture for my blog. You know, cuz so many people read it and all! cough, uh, yeah.. anyways. My co workers are convinced I'm going to be a photo journalist. :)

I spent a wonderful Mothers Day weekend at home on the farm with my parents, bro and sil!! Sadly, I didn't sleep well, even with my saturday nap, but it was still a great time!! Here are my parents, Dad has progressively shrunk over the 33 years of their marriage. Now Mom is taller than him when she wears heels, as she was this morning to church. So she is trying to shrink down and be short. She'll kill me if she sees this pic on my blog but i love the expression on her face and her laughing!! Here are my Mom's Children! 1. I just had Jimmy John's for lunch. First real food I have eaten since Tuesday night. Curse you stomach flu!! 2. I'm getting a smoothie at the Union in a little bit. I LOVE smoothies!! 3. Mothers day is Sunday and I still don't know what I'm getting Mom and Grams. Thats a slight problem since I leave for the farm tonight. 4. I'm really looking foeward to spending the weekend with my entire family. Its probably the last time we'll all be together untill Sept! :( 5. I have survived working two semesters at Purdue. Now comes the summer with even more new adventures! 6. I cried during greys anatomy last night. And I really hope Izzie doesn't die! 7. I love sleeping with my bedroom windows open. So my boss said something today that was like an AH HA moment, as Oprah calls them. It was so profound I wanted to write it down here so I wouldn't forget. Of course she told me this over 10 hours and 4 cokes ago, so hopefully I can write it coherantly:) Anyways the gist of it (man I should have written this down right after!!) was that we base our whole thoughts on someone from our first encounter. Kind of like a first impression. Say you go somewhere and come in contact with someone who is rude, or treats you badly in some way. You get an impression of them and put them in this box. Everytime you see them or have contact with them after that, even if they don't do anything "wrong" you are still judging their actions and trying to fit their actions and what they're doing into that box.
