I'm not quite sure where to start this story. I have been doing some massive deep cleaning of my apt this week. Monday night I came home and looked around and i just felt like it was so cluttered and messy and that the walls were coming in on me. So every night I have been cleaning and throwing away stuff like you wouldn't believe. Its been a two shower every day this week. In the midst of my cleaning I found a ziplock bag of what appeared to be drink mixes. I realized it was something Mom had sent for me at some point and thew it in my purse aka overnight bag, to take to work the next day. The packages were brightly colored and I was really excited because one looked like it might be a blue raspberry drink and that really sounded good! Fast forward to the next day at work. I arrive and set my purse down on my desk as I look for my keys and start to pull stuff out of the bag that I brought in for work. I realized I never posted any pics of my new hair color! Here is my new darker do'! I am digging it!!! Today was a rare day when I felt like my outfit was super cute and that I looked nice, so I had to capture it to preserve! HA! My Grams gave me this necklace and it went so well with the outfit!! This is quite possibly my favorite skirt ever!! (well minus the Old Navy Tennis skirts from pcc era) I just love this skit! I"ve had it for several ye ars and when I bought it I couldn't fit into it but i was determined to wear it someday!! Its got a cute little flirty white under thingy to it. So festive!! And yes by the end of the day my shirt was all stretched out and wrinkly. Ignore that!! :)

1. Summer Friday nights have officially become Movie night at Casa Cherrybear. Tonight I watched "Did you hear about the Morgan's?" And while it will most certainly not be winning an awards it was a cute little movie. Not bad for 1.07! I <3 redbox!! 2. Tomorrow is Wedding #2 of the summer. Tyler and Meg's wedding outdoors at the Country Club here in town. Its going to be in the 90's. Here's hoping the officiant makes it short and sweet!! 3. Can't believe next week is the Fourth of July. The summer is almost over. (for me at least) July is packed full of events, I'm tired just thinking about it. 4. Flashback Friday has become a big hit at work! We bumped it to Vanilla Ice on Pandora as usual, and then later in the day I created a Will Smith station. He really has the perfect summer songs!! 5. I came home tonight to find out my Mom had cleaned my kitchen floor, ran a load of laundry, brought me lots of goodies and took my trash out!! WOW!!

Because this straight, blond hair will be gone by tomorrow!! My hair did look alot straighter when I got to work in the morning, versus this is the middle of the afternoon. Its a fun look but very labor intensive and I clearly need a more high powered flat iron for this situation! A picture is really worth a thousand words. I've been sitting here for over 5 mins trying to come up with a post that will explain what we were doing and all I can say is that Amy was regaling her family with the story of my electrocution ala' Precious and we both felt compelled to try and mimic Precious' poor face. And um... thats all you need to know. I'm pretty sure the following picture is going to be my new background on my work computer. Makes me giggle everytime! See? We match!! While there are a few times when I regret making a facebook account for my Dad, I generally love to see his little status updates, they crack me up!! Here's his status from today.. Shhhhh... don't tell him I'm posting it here!! Today did not start out on a good note. I got about 4-5 hours of sleep thanks to the massive storms we had last night. Well really it was like one storm because it felt like it never quit. Half the town is flooded, its really kind of freaky. More about that in a minute. So I was without a good nights sleep but functioning this morning. Until I walked into my kitchen to make my carnation breakfast blend to take with me to work. (I prefer the rich milk chocolate version in case you are wondering) I walked by my fridge and before I knew what was happening my feet were in the air and I was falling. I tried to grab a hold of a chair from the table to stop my fall, but I only succeeded in stabbing myself with the leg of the chair. No bueno. My first thoughts as I laid on the floor were as follows. 1. My skirt had better not be ripped or soaked with this water that I'm laying in, I do not have time to change. 2. For our June Ladies who Lunch we went to Camille's Sidewalk Cafe'! Due to it being in the 90's here in good ol Indiana, we chose to sit inside! I had a yummy salad, can you believe all this goodness was only 315 calories? It was super good and very filling. I didn't even eat the whole thing! So as part of my Fathers Day gift to my Daddy I made him this triffle. He looked at it rather dubiously from every angle conceivable untill i finally convinced him that it was in fact edible. So there's this lady I know. By the name of Linda K. Shaw. And she's pretty much fabulous. She's my childhood best friend Amy's neighbor, and my newest Pink Weds convert. For that alone she is awesome. Linda K. Shaw (yes you just have to say the entire name it doesn't sound right without it!) is going to Ivy and heading towards a degree in my dept so she visits us often. And we enjoy every visit!! Today she came by and wanted to borrow my shoes. In her words it was because she knew i had sasquatch feet. Thanks pal. I have no clue what to blog about tonight so this is going to be a very random, rambly post. Whew, good thing this blog is called Thoughts and Ramblings, huh? I am so excited that THIS GORGEOUS SHIRT is FINALLY on the Target website! Seeing as how my Target store is always sold out of my size! And did I mention that its payday tomorrow? hmmmm!!! :) Tomorrow is also Throwback Friday at work. That's right, Vanilla Ice on Pandora is going to be BUMPIN' all day long!! My Monday afternoon into evening was spent with several hundred of my closest friends in a hot, sweaty, hot, jammed, hot hallway. Did I mention it was hot? About 4:40 right after Apes had left the tornado sirens went off. I am used to weird noises in our hallway and I assumed that the Resp Lab was doing work on their dummies. I peeked over my desk and saw that the lab was shut and dark. Hmm... And the the announcement came over the loud speaker to go to our safe spot. Mike Prangley would have been proud!! So I got to spend over an hour with this long hallway of people. What cracked me up was how each dept and their students all stood together!! The funniest thing was that at 5:25, 10 mins after the tornado warning expired, I got one of our Text Alerts that I should seek shelter. Um.. really? Can we all just have a moment of silence for how long my hair has grown? I have not cut it since my birthday trim!! It hits the back of my shoulders in the back and allllllmost touches in the front! What is a girl to do when its 90+ degrees outside and the A/C is not exactly cooling down the building? Ok these pics are a little out of order but thats ok! :) Once a month my Women's Bible Study does an Open Table night at our church. Women come and bring their crafts and projects that they are working on and hang out and chat. I had not been to one of these nights because, well, I'm not crafty. there, I said it. the secret is out. Not that it should be a huge secret now, do we all remember the ribbon that was supposed to be a bow that turned out to be a headband? um.. yeah.. 'nuff said. But Jessica has been telling me about it and so I figured I would go and check it out, not like I had any other pressing events on my social calendar. I'm sure you're wondering what "craft" I decided to do! I went with digital scrapbooking! I haven't scrapbooked since I left PCC in 2003 and you can just imagine how many pictures I have taken in 7 years! Most of them digital! So I thought this would be a good way to put them all together! I actually really enjoyed it

1. Had so much fun at Open Table night! I learned how to make a digital scrapbook, although it wasn't nearly as cool as what Jessica and Sheryl created! I will definitely be going back again! 2. Please ignore the mess on my desk. And focus on the petty butterfly flying above me!! Our boss has given us total free reign to decorate the front office as we see fit and make it fun and friendly. I got this idea from my local pharmacy they had butterflies flying about in their office and i thought it was so cool!! i found butterflies, bumblebees and ladybugs (sorry mom i know you hate them) at the dollar tree last night. they were made for kids to wear, but I could see them floating through our office in my mind!! It turned out even neater than I expected!!! I LOVE IT!!! We don't have any windows and with the dark blue wall it really needs to be lightened up and made festive. So I did!! I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!!! My bro and sil are making me one of the happiest people alive and having a baby!! And I'm assuming I can finally tell since my bro joined 15 million pregnancy things on fb. :) The baby's nickname is "The Project" and it is currently under construction :) Due in Dec!!!! WOOT!! Last week I came back to town from spending the holiday at the parents farm and I saw a toilet sitting by the side of the road. It was beside the house that is across from the turn in to my apt complex. I thought it was a tad strange but ignored it. For the next three days everytime I left for work and came home that darned toilet was still there! Laying on its side in all of its toilet grody glory. So on the fourth day when I was getting ready to leave work I remembered to get my camera out so I would have it ready. I slowly drove past the four way stop and put putted at about 5 mph in order to get a picture of the toilet. Of course with my luck the very grumpy lookig owner of the house and i'm assuming the nasty toilet, was sitting outside in his yard and GLARED at me as I drove slower than turtle walk past his house with my pink camera out the window. Today is a VERY VERY Special day! Its my best friend in the whole entire world's Birthday!! Thats right folks, Today is Kimberly Michelle Lewis' BIRTHDAY!! Words can't express how much I love her and appreciate her friendship. Though miles seperate us, our hearts beat together. Kim has been my best friend for the past 7 years. From the moment we met at PCC, in our suite's bathroom. And met, and met again. yes we met several times, as she did her hair a different way each day of that week and I was beginning to wonder exactly HOW MANY people were living in my suitemate's room. :) I finally figured out all of them were Kim and she hasn't been able to get rid of me since!! She truly is like family to me, and her family is like my family as well. I can go to her with any problem and she will listen to me and care. She listens to my snot :) and to my ramblings and my ticked off moments (although she laughs at me when I'm mad) She helps me pick out my outfits

Friday called for a festive outfit!! I'm wearing a cutiepatootie sequined tank from Target. The straps are too long so the front was sagging some, didn't realize that untill i was walking into work. Luckily I was able to just button the cardigan over it and that made it back to modest. It looks cuter without it buttoned though!! And yes I have a pink bow sparkly headband AND sparkly zebra print shoes. Yes, I am raising the roof here!! Today we had a dance party at work. Our building was prtety much deserted by noon, so we turned the music on so it wasn't as creepy. Did you know you can make a Vanilla Ice Pandora station? It plays GREAT STUFF!!!! Seeing Debby do Hammertime was the best part of my day!! Well Fiddle Dee Dee! Its Pink Weds!! How are y'all doin? We came back to work after the holiday to find out that our A/C had been hit by lightening!! It was sweltering hot in the office on Tuesday, even after they got it working. Today I wasn't taking any chances so I wore a light sundress and put my hair up and off of my neck!! I'm not loving the lace cami with this but i forgot to try the dress on the night before so when I put it on today I realized it was nowhere close to modest for the office and had to improvise!! I usually can't get my hair to go up and look good in the morning after I have washed it because its so thick it doesn't get dry for hours, even with blow drying, but somehow I managed to get it into some semblance of decency this morning and I actually liked it!!
