7 quick takes

1. So excited that I found one of my construction job buddies on fb this week! He was one of my faves and I def. missed him!! I <3>

2. Today we made a Vanilla Ice pandora station at work. Apes and I bumped that most of the day. We also learned that Cherrybear has no rhythm or moves but Debby can do the hammertime dance like none other!! CAN'T TOUCH THIS!!

3. You're welcome for putting that song in you head for the rest of the day :)

4. I think I must look older than I feel. Tonight I pulled up to my apt and a guy was trying to get in the door. He saw me and waited as I got out of my truck and held the door open for me. I thought it was nice and then I realized he called me ma'am. I hate that word.

5. I took my first and last walk around the pond at my apt the other night. There is a goose that has it out for me. He likes to chase and squawk at me. My heart rate was definitely accelerated by the time I made it back to my building, but my pride was wounded after having to run for my life from a goose in front of a group of guys. It doesn't matter I was old enough to be their mother practically, still embarrassing!!

6. Today I wore a tank top covered in sequins to work. It was fabulous. I took pics for you OF COURSE but it doesn't capture the greatness of the sparkles. I love sparkles.

7. My Mom emailed me yesterday and told me to keep out of trouble this weekend!!!!! Umm.. I"m going to the chiropractor and church, (and maybe cvs!) where exactly am I supposed to be finding this trouble at? I wouldn't know where to go to try and FIND trouble!! As Katie said, "has your mom MET you?" ha. yes i'm a boring good girl and i like it that way!

find out where that guy was from. if he's from the south, we are called ma'am our entire life AND are taught to say ma'am from day one. he didn't mean you were old... it was his way of being respectful. :)

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
