Sadly Monday morning came before we were ready for it and it was time to head to the airport and go back home to Indiana. But before I left I made sure to get a picture with The Lady. This is a famous picture that Caca did while at PCC. She was like our 9'th roommate! It was so cool to see her framed and hanging up at Caca's house!! And yes I look like I have pj's on in this pic. I do not. that was my travelling outfit. Clearly I did not care! Us headed for the airport. Clearly I did not bother with hardly any makeup that day either!! I love plane pics!! I didn't have my camera out on the first flight or I could have gotten some seriously cool cloud pics. Its so neat to be flying between and above the clouds. Wild. I love it! This fall my Women's Bible study that meets on Weds nights is doing the first 8 chapters of Having a Mary Spirit by Joanna Weaver. Last semester you'll remember we did the Prequel to that called Having a Mary Heart in a Martha world. I blogged each week about what I had learned during the study and I want to do that again, but with a change. This fall I want to be real and sincere and talk specifically about what God is teaching me and what he is trying to do in my life. This won't always be pretty, ok well its not really going to be pretty at all because my sinful heart isn't pretty but with God's help he will change me! I want to start off with an illustration that God gave me today in my life. I didn't realize it was an illustration at the time, untill we got into the word tonight and it was like God was hitting me over the head with a sledgehammer. Happy Pink Weds!!! I am sporting a new pink sweater today from Old Navy. I almost FROZE to death in my office yesterday so I came prepared today. Of course the temps rose to 79 degrees but minor detail. I still sat with my heater on all day long which did not help the sleepiness issues I was having!

Oh my goodness I think Saturday was my favorite day out of all of my vacation! Caca made us cheese empanadas for Brunch, and then we watched the movie Julie & Julia. Now y'all know I can't cook to save my life. So a movie about cooking I was like oh boy. I was pleasantly surprised! I LOVED IT!! It was such a good movie! I would definately watch it again!! Do you know that verse about Pride cometh before the fall? I really should commit that to memory because I seem to have an issue. Thursday night as we were driving to the airport Dr Avery was making fun of me for my big purse and how full it was. I informed him that I was a girl and had alot of stuff I needed, plus I was only taking a carry on so I had to throw last minute things into my purse and to hush and just drive. That conversation came back to haunt me a little while later. I boarded my first flight and got comfortable in the window seat alongside a businessman. I shoved my stuffed carry on under the seat in front of me and was delighted when I was able to put my feet on it as I sat. I was really quite comfortable. I sat my purse (aka my pony express bag as my Chiropractor calls it) beside the window and my foot and prepared for the flight. Everything was fine untill the Nazi Flight Attendant came by. Friday morning I made it out of bed before noon which was quite a feat seeing as we had not went to bed untill 3 am! Caca made Chilean Pancakes for us, aka Crepes. I did not know what I was missing. After brunch she got to work on the cake she had to make for a Birthday Party Saturday morning. Caca is a MASTER at making cakes! She amazes me! I was BEYOND ready to leave for my Vacation to North Carolina On Thursday! To my credit I actually was fairly calm at work and actually worked until about 3 pm, the hour before I left, then I started bouncing in my chair and couldn't stay focused!! I finally got off work at 4 pm and ran home to try and squeeze the last few things into my bag before Dr Avery picked me up. He was my chauffeur for the day and did an excellent job! (Minus the whole making me carry my bag downstairs. but whatever!) Anyways, if you know me at all then you know I take truck pictures pretty much anytime I am in a vehicle with someone else. Dr Avery to his credit put up with that even though he gave me some crazy eyes. Gotta work on that! He looks a bit more normal here but I'm struggling. Such is life! 1. I am writing this from my Caca's MAC in NC! It doesn't havea backspace button so bear with me!! 2. My flights went smoothly and were uneventful minus getting my purse stolen by a nazi flight attendant and being humiliated by him in front of the entire plane. Two days from now at this time I will be fixin to land in North Carolina! I'm super excited, yes still! Although I thankfully for all involved HAVE managed to dial down my excitement and hyperness just a tad bit. My Mom came by my apt while I was at work today and did my dishes, moved my entertainment center in my bedroom to where I could actually see my tv, it wasn't useable after I moved my bed. Friday night was the Casting Crowns Concert and it was AWESOME!! Its hard to nail down what the best part of it was but the coolest thing was sitting in the same section of the balcony with my friends! Above you'll see Emboz (and Madi!) and Jennifer and I. I walked into the balcony and immediately saw Mr. Boz. I thought that was super cool that we were sitting just a few rows over from eachother! At half time someone tapped me on the shoulder and lo and behold it was me and Emboz's Friend Jennifer from PCC! Crazy! She was sitting 7 rows directly behind me! We had Apes Birthday Party today!! I absolutely LOVE this picture of the three of us!!! I call it tallest to shortest!! :) (and yes Muy Caliente was standing on her tippy toes! HA!) She was TOTALLY surprised by the pre-decorated office and blown away when we started carrying in truck loads of food!! I love surprising people but usually I am SO excited about it that I blow the surprise! Not this time! She had NO CLUE!! Love it!! We got her a cute shirt that you can't see that well but has fabric flowers all along the neckline and inside each has a tiny bling! Very Apes! We also got her a certificate to have a a one hour swedish massage!!! She was very excited and surprised as you can tell in this picture!! I love birthdays, even those that aren't my own! :) I just think its a really great time to celebrate that person and show them how special and appreciated that they are! And of course that always means having balloons and cake :) Happy Birthday Apes!!

Whats going on in 2144 today? A party for our Apes of course!!! (writing this the night before and PRAYING that my thingies floating in the door are still there Friday morning!) Its our Apes birthday this weekend and OF COURSE you know I had to decorate it!! Getting the crepe paper and the balloons into the office without her knowing was like a covert act!! Here is her desk! And yes the Birthday Butterfly is a deflated balloon, whom matched the other one standing tall but you see it was highly windy here today and wrestling 4 balloons that kept attacking me and getting the strings caught in my hair (PAINFUL!) was just too much for that poor butterfly, she sprung a leak! 1. There is nothing like a fun fb convo on Ames page to end a night on a good note. I love having friends I've known for half my life!! 2. Thursday night I baked Two Birthday Cakes, one white one chocolate fudge, 2 dozen cookies, and I made 30 Party in Your Mouth Sammies. My kitchen hasn't seen that much action since Resp had their exams the end of summer!! 3. My poor cakes, they struggle. They will taste delicious but the decorations, not so cute. They need a disclaimer upon them. I learned that I am not very talented with an icing pen situation. Not talented at all. It was so pathetic I was dying laughing. Poor Apes. 4. Ames and I remembered tonight that we tried to start our own religion when we were in HS. We called it Cheriamy, I know super creative right? And it was going to be the women's version of people who have plural spouses. We decided men shouldn't have all the fun so we should have multiple husbands. Clearly that did not take off. This Pink Weds was very special as one of my old working buddies came to visit me at school!! She brought along her mom and they were sporting Pink from head to Toe! Notice the pink shoes, thankyouverymuch!! It was so great to see Carmine and meet her adorable Mom!! Long Live Pink Weds!!

1. I got to have dinner and hang out with my SIL last night!! We had SO much fun!! We had frozen pizza and were going to watch a movie but we were too busy talk to be bothered with a movie!! It was so great to spend time with her and see the project in the form of his bump :) I may not have much family but the family I have are beyond awesome! 2. I've been able to sleep!! Since I moved my bed I haven't heard my nefarious neighbors egregious noise which is SOOOOO GOOD. Sleeping on the couch for a few hours was getting really old really fast. So glad that drama is OVER!! 3. I BOUGHT MY TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats right! bright and early I bought my tickets to go to NC to see Caca!! Thursday was our Muy Caliente's Birthday!! We celebrated by throwing her a mini party and I made this cute little sign and poem!! If you can't read it, it says- A Special little present for a very special little girl! :) A little bit of sweet, something good to eat, and something for your feet, its really super neat, hope this doesn’t make you weep. We OF COURSE had Balloons, which I anchored with candy, Brilliant Idea I thought!! Her sister send her gorgeous flowers and Apes made a cake along with getting her soem festive nail polish(for the feet!) I made her one of my special Tiara headbands, pink of course, for Pink Weds!!! Apes made a spice cake with cream cheese frosting... OMMMMMMMMM SOOO YUMMY!! I loved it!! I had two pieces, but the second one was an act of mercy! HA! We will continue celebrating her birthday next Friday night when we go see Casting Crowns!! YAYS!!
