Home, Home on the Range! Memorial Day Style!

Friday night I went home for the much anticipated 3 day Memorial Day Weekend break! It was FABULOUS! I was sooooo happy to see this house as I turned in! The square part of the house is what the core was, my parents actually bought and moved the house when my Mom was expecting me. They moved it to this location and then over the years Dad has majorly built on. Off to the far right side is their bedroom that he added and behind the core is the family room, dining room and new tv room. Its a really big house when you see all of it. Which I love. Enables us to not be on top of eachother all the time :) When I arrived Friday night my trees greeted me! For the first time in almost 7 days it wasn't raining. Unfortunately this did not last long. I was really hoping to be able to sit out on the deck and read but alas that was not meant to be. So Instead I sat on their fabulous couch and read two books in two days! It was GREAT! I love to read! The farm. The cows weren't close to the

Ohhhh memories!!

So back in the day when I worked at the construction place, we had a remodeling project. Yes the construction place got constructed! ha! My partner in crime, Amey, got moved upstairs, instead of in the office next to the front desk where I was at. So we had to get creative on how to pass paperwork and our beloved Chicks, Ducks and Bunnies. Because neither of us was tromping up and down the stairs. Not happenin! Enter Amey's Fabulous invention and one of my top funniest moments at that job! What you're seeing is a computer mouse cord, with a binder clip tied to the end of the cord. She would dangle it from the landing to get papers that she needed. I really wish I had a picture of us transferring the candy. The binder clip was clipped to a Styrofoam cup and candy was then loaded inside and pulled up to the second floor. Seriously one of the funniest things EVER!!

Special Visitor!

If I find out that Emboz is at the library that is with my work, and she has Madi, I force her to come visit me in my office. Being that its the Friday of a Holiday weekend, I REALLY begged her. I saw a total of TWO, count them, TWO students today. So seeing Emboz was very welcome! I got a big smile from my Madi Madi Boo Boo when she saw me! I hugged her and let her play with my sock monkey. She was happy and then all of the sudden she shivered, cutest thing ever! And got really teary eyed! But she didn't cry! She was very teary eyed and just looked so sad. Broke my heart! She was a very tired little girl. the excitement of big sister Bethy's end of school program did her in. When she left she tried to give me a smile but it was the most pathetic thing you've ever seen. Still adorable though!

What I do on my lunch...

So CVS had a great deal on Revlon Nail polish this week! On sale for 4.99 with ECB's of 4.00! My mom just happened to have coupons for 1.00 of Revlon nailpolish! Which means, I got them for FREE!!! Actually I ended up paying 34 cents a piece, because you have to pay tax. BUT STILL THOUGH!! I got some super cute colors! I love nail polish like you wouldn't believe so this was like Heaven to me!! I really like the light blueish whitish color, third from the right, I think it may go on my fingers this weekend! And possibly one of the pinks on my toes! YAYS! To perfectly coupon this deal I paid for them each seperately, using the ECB from the purchase before to pay for each one. Thankfully it went very quickly and only one person came up behind me. When I was done the cashier pointed out to me that I'd been selected for a survey and could win 1,000 if I participated. I said THINK OF ALL THE NAILPOLISH I COULD BUY WITH THAT!! ESPECIALLY IF I HAD COUPONS!!! She was still laughi

Rain, Rain, go away!

It has been raining for what seems like half of my 29 years of life. No joke. This week we have had really bad severe weather. Nothing compared to Joplin's devestation, but still not good. Wednesday I knew we were going to end up in the storm shelter area at work. I looked through the window a little after 2 and it was raining sideways and so dark outside. I decided if we were going to have to go to safety I was going to the bathroom first! Not two minutes after I sat back down at my desk the sirens went off, the emergency intercom started talking to us and we had to evacuate. I grabbed my purse, my drink, and a handful of candy from our "bad day drawer" nothing like being prepared I say! So we stayed downstairs for awhile, I snapped this picture of Audra, she was sheltering with us, it was funny everyone had their phones out. Deb was with us and she had live dopler radar on her phone!! I so need a cooler phone! We stayed there for maybe a half an hour before we were abl

Ladies who Lunch!! May Edition!

I will be the first to admit, my hair has been seriously struggling this week. The humidity and storms with needing a cut has not been good! So I threw it all up Monday, which Apes always compliments me on, but it just doesn't look very cute in pictures. So ignore me and look at the baby! Monday I had the pleasure of having lunch with this cutie at O'Charleys! Isn't she just the most delicate little thing? She really is beautiful! The (struggling) waitress gave her a childrens menu. I mean, really? I know she is an amazing baby girl but she's not quite to the reading level. Emboz usually gets to the eatery first and orders drinks, ect, so she ordered me a Mt Dew before I got there and apparently the Waitress set it in front of Madi! Emboz said I knew then we weren't dealing with a smart one! Bless her heart she did bring us rolls so all was not lost! Madi looks a little disturbed here.. Awww my happy baby!! She looks sooo much like her big sister Bethanne here!

Snugglemuffin!!

Look at this precious precious smile! Doesn't that just melt your heart??!! I can't wait untill he smiles at his Auntie like this! But this look kills me too! Those eyes! Those cheeks! Those kissable little lips, and sad looking face!!! I just can't take it. He is just the most precious wonderful thing ever!! EVER!!!!!! How can you resist this little face??! AND THOSE CHEEKS!!! I will be forever in love with my nephews cheeks! I love that he chews on everything. And I love little baby hands. So cute! I love his drool too. I'd rather be drooled on than spit up on! :) I just love my nephew so much! And I MISS HIM!!!!! :(

I am now officially addicted to their Turkey Bacon Ranch! SUPER YUM!!! We took over 4 pics in Audra's car but for some reason only this picture is on my camera? I am going to be so sad when Audra moves to our new downtown location! :(

Happy Birthday Liz!!!!!

Today Is a very special day! On this day 27 years ago, my wonderful sister in law was born!!! I am so thankful that she is here and married to my brother! They make a wonderful couple! Growing up it had always been me and my brother and he really didn't date much, so I was a little worried about what it would be like to have a sister in law. My brother became one of my best friends after I grew up and went away to college and I was alittle worried that would change. It has changed. But it has changed 100% for the better. Because now not only is my brother a best friend but my sister in law is as well! In fact sometimes I tell Kev that I love her more than him! Liz completely dove into our family and has loved us as much as she has loved Kev, which is TONS!! She knows us and loves us anyway! She knows each and everyone of our likes and dislikes, and I swear she is the best gift giver that I have ever met! She puts alot of thought into everything she does and it shows an amazing am

Chew on this

Man I'm a little hungry.... I feel like eating something... chewy.... ahhhh thats better!!! nomnomnomnomnom.... what? you don't chew on your feet?
So My Dad had surgery today. He is ok and is on his way home to rest and recover for the next 6+ weeks. I valiantly tried to get a picture of him but even disabled he managed to win that fight. Although when the anesthesiologist wanted to draw people on the bottom of his toes you'd better believe i was searching for my camera. Alas she didn't do it and I have a stinkin big purse I'm pretty sure my camera was about 6 miles away. Anywho, I did manage to have an awkwardly funny conversation on my way to see him. Is anyone surprised I think not. Surgery was at 12:30 so I left early for my lunch so I could see him before he went back. I got to the Hospital and the Welcome desk had an older gentleman who was a volunteer take me back to his holding area. The fellow mentioned he had just taken someone back to my Dad's room. I thought that was a tad weird as Mom was allready there and we weren't expecting anyone else. So I asked him who it was. And he said it was a younger f

You know you grew up on a Farm...

When you have your own Carhart's and you're only 7 years old.... (and apparently I wanted horses, seeing as we only had Cows, Pigs and Sheep)

Flashback Friday!

Baby Cherry and Big Brother Kevin circa 1982 (yes I realize its Monday but blogger ate my Friday post!)

My newest Addiction

So my newest addiction is Carnation Breakfast Essentials in Rich Milk Chocolate. I've talked about my love for them before but thanks to one of my Easter gifts my love has been taken to a whole new level.... Thats right people, A Carnation Breakfast Essential SMOOTHIE, courtesty of my new drink blender. Suffice it to say. I.AM.IN.LOVE. Add a few ice cubes to the mix and milk and blend it all up to a drink of yummy goodness. I feel like it fills me up more than the plain drink, must be the ice and chunkiness. Whatever it is, I LOVE IT!!!

Don't worry, BE HAPPY!!

Auntie LOVES this little smile!! Its my flirty I know i'm cute smile. I like to chew on anything I can get my hands (or feet- more about that later) on! I'm smiling because I'm so handsome! And I have the bestest Mommy and Daddy and my Nana and Grampy and Auntie love me SOOOOO MUCH! Its a rough life being this cute. It really is. I like to show off my cuteness because it just makes my Auntie's day when she see's my smiling face. When Auntie gets new pictures of me she smiles alot and talks to the computer. And then she has to look at the pictures several times! I'm glad my Great Grandma came to visit me and take pictures for my Auntie. I can't wait to see her again, but untill I do I know pictures of me cheer her up when she's having a bad day!

Happy Graduation!!!!

So today was Ivy Graduation!! I worked so I could see all of my students on their special day! Since I am a loser or maybe just blind? I was unable to find ANY of my tadpoles afterwards. I don't know where they were hiding but I saw no one. SO Please picture all of the students above in their graduation finery posing at Elliot with yours truely. :) I was kind of bummed not to find any of them BUT I was able to see all of them marching in! I doled out hugs and high fives and it was really cool! I had to work at not crying but I admit I did get a little tear in my eye! Pomp and Circumstance always does that to me! And to think that all these people who I've watched grow for the past year and a half are leaving me, sadness! But I'm so happy for them and the rest of my students for sticking it out and kicking some major academic butt!! I learned that my camera does not to well in low light so this is the only picture from inside. I had given up on finding anyone and was leaving

Muy Caliente and Apes Graduation Dinner Party!

Friday night a group of us headed to the west side El Rodeo to have a special Graduation dinner for Apes and Muy Caliente! We have been looking forward to this for ages!! And it did not disappoint! We had so much fun and the food was sooooo good! I had steak fajitas and mm mm mmmm! YUMMY!! And not spicy! I had Muy Caliente help me find something to eat that wouldn't bother my tummy and she did a great job! And let me just say their guacamole is out of this world!! I'm drooling thinking about it right now! Since I'm not married like the rest I took Quata, Muy Caliente's Niece as my date :) Muy Caliente and Carlos. I had met him several times but hadn't gotten to chat with him alot. He is FUNNY! I really liked him!! And speaking of funny, Apes hubby Steven Weaven. This is the guy you want to take with you when you go to the e.r. Personal experience here! He will keep you entertained! He did not disappoint at dinner either! Do you like the graduate hats I made both of
