Muy Caliente and Apes Graduation Dinner Party!

Friday night a group of us headed to the west side El Rodeo to have a special Graduation dinner for Apes and Muy Caliente! We have been looking forward to this for ages!! And it did not disappoint! We had so much fun and the food was sooooo good!
I had steak fajitas and mm mm mmmm! YUMMY!! And not spicy! I had Muy Caliente help me find something to eat that wouldn't bother my tummy and she did a great job! And let me just say their guacamole is out of this world!! I'm drooling thinking about it right now!
Since I'm not married like the rest I took Quata, Muy Caliente's Niece as my date :)
Muy Caliente and Carlos. I had met him several times but hadn't gotten to chat with him alot. He is FUNNY! I really liked him!!
And speaking of funny, Apes hubby Steven Weaven. This is the guy you want to take with you when you go to the e.r. Personal experience here! He will keep you entertained! He did not disappoint at dinner either! Do you like the graduate hats I made both of the grads wear? I thought they were adorable!!
Awww still newlyweds!!
We were doing gang symbols. or trying to. i'm not sure why?
Awww so purdy! Good friends!!!!!
So we're having a dinner party for her and she brings us gifts!! She was sneaky and had the fabulous favorite picture we took of ourselves earlier in the day printed and framed. Its now sitting on my coffee table!
The whole group! We did have so much fun! I think we may need to do a monthly dinner at El Rodeo. Did I mention good GOOOOOD the guacamole was????!
One last picture of the Dream Team outside....
Erm.. Make that two!!! A year later and we finally perfect our pose! I am so proud of my graduates and my good good friends! I know that wherever life takes us we're all going to be friends for the duration!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
