42/52 & 43/52

So Apparently I took zero pictures on week 42 until the picture below Saturday, and Sunday's Selfie Sunday. Not sure what I did all week other than work, But apparently it wasn't noteworthy!  So this is random, but if you are as fascinated by Polygamy as I am, there is a 4 episode show on Netflix you need to watch! It's called 3 Wives, 1 Husband and BOY HOWDY. Hot Mess. I couldn't turn away. And had to text my fellow polygamy tv show loving friends to see if they had watched it.  Also, the guy pictured above looks like Em's husband and it was alternating hilarious and creepy.  It was a balmy 25 degrees outside as I was getting ready for church. It's Winter here in the Midwest apparently.  Post Church Selfie!  Since it's Winter it's only appropriate to listen to Christmas Music, RIGHT??!!!  That week was my time once again to visit my friends at the retirement home. I hung out on the Alzheimer's wing and we had a great

Whoopsies! I'm way behind on weekly wrap ups, AGAIN.  Well, better late than never, right??!  This week started off on the right foot, with Dunkin Donuts! Ahhhhhh I just LOVE their coffee!!  I have a tiny little student, and at the Christmas Recital we will be using a Piano on risers, so I knew we would need to make him a little taller. Thankfully someone gifted me several large music books and they are perfect for sitting on!! We are only going to use 3 of them at the recital but I couldn't say no to his request to sit on all of them for a minute. :)  This week in particular started out super warm and then suddenly got cooler at the end of the week. Thursday I had a chiro apt and was waiting on her to come back to the office. So I stood outside in the 50 degree temp for some good ol Vitamin D. It felt great!!  And then by Saturday/Sunday it was basically winter. So. Cold. We skipped right over Fall and headed into 30's and some 20's. And

Holy Moley! How is it week 40 already??!! #ChristmasIsComing !!  Speaking of Christmas, last week 266 Christmas cards left the studio to go home to my students for them to decorate for our service project. This is pretty much my favorite thing we do each year! I can't wait to see their creativity and to see the faces of some of the recipients!!  So Monday started off great. All the cards were divided up, packed up and ready to go, my house was clean, I was organized, I was drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee out of my Charlie Brown mug....  Life was good! And it was. Until 8:10 pm that evening. Then began a scary time, where I ended up saving my neighbors life. I didn't get to sleep until 2 am that night, and woke up the next day, still really worried. Thankfully that evening a family member came by to thank me and update me on what was going on. I slept MUCH better Tuesday night, but it was a crazy week. I was still exhausted from my lack of sl

Despite the weather here staying in the 80's and 90's, I finally finished putting all of my fall decorations off.  I figured if I waited for it to be cold, it would be time for Christmas decorations! These three little pumpkins are a new addition to outside. I scored them at a garage sale this summer!  Also found at a garage sale this summer, my new burlap fall wreath!  Monday was not a great day. I was ready for it to be over.  Trying to shake off my crummy monday with a face mask that evening. I bought it but didn't realize it was teal. I basically matched my entire house. hahah  Tuesday it was time for my visit to my favorite nursing home to play for the residents! This month I was entertainment with my alzheimer's friends and we had a great time, per the usual. I brought my new Titanic books and they were a hit!  Tuesday night was the day we've all been waiting for since May! This is Us returned with new episodes! And I did not cry. Which

Meeting Evelyn Ruth!!!

Brace yourself for a picture overload! I'm finally sitting down to write all about my trip to KY and meeting sweet baby Evie!! One Friday in August our schedules aligned and I was able to take a day trip to KY to visit my bestie, Addie Jane, and meet sweet baby Evelyn Ruth!! I had been waiting for this day for SO LONG, and I was terrified I would get sick and not be able to go, but I felt great that day so I headed out bright and early! And around 3 hours later, Welcome to Kentucky! It was a surprisingly easy and kind of boring drive down and back! Not a bad problem to have! I had planned to stop for lunch and gas, but was fine on gas, so I just kept driving! I was starting to yawn when I got to their town, so I looked up the nearest Dunkin Donuts and there was one right down the road from their house so I made a pit stop for some much needed caffeine! I had brought Addies belated birthday presents and other things I had picked up for her, as well as some cute li
