41/52

Whoopsies! I'm way behind on weekly wrap ups, AGAIN.  Well, better late than never, right??!

This week started off on the right foot, with Dunkin Donuts! Ahhhhhh I just LOVE their coffee!!
I have a tiny little student, and at the Christmas Recital we will be using a Piano on risers, so I knew we would need to make him a little taller. Thankfully someone gifted me several large music books and they are perfect for sitting on!! We are only going to use 3 of them at the recital but I couldn't say no to his request to sit on all of them for a minute. :)

This week in particular started out super warm and then suddenly got cooler at the end of the week. Thursday I had a chiro apt and was waiting on her to come back to the office. So I stood outside in the 50 degree temp for some good ol Vitamin D. It felt great!!

And then by Saturday/Sunday it was basically winter. So. Cold. We skipped right over Fall and headed into 30's and some 20's. And we have already had SNOW. SNOW. Not ok.
Sunday was my Sunday to serve. And I layered up like crazy. Serving shirt, cardigan, and my puffer vest. Y'all my vest was zipped up so far you could barely see my shirt. I had my hands in my vest pockets, and i was doing a little shuffle to stay warm. We have all of the doors open to the church and I stand at the Info Desk across from the doors. My little southern heart and body was freezing. My friend Laura made me laugh, at the end of the service she looks at me and says Oh! Looks like you've warmed up! You put the zipper down an inch! HA!!!! truth!

After serving we had a leader lunch/training and after I was done with that I ran errands and hustled home to clean my house and prepare for the week ahead.

And that was week 41!!

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

New Bedroom Decor!

Every Year my SIL outdoes herself with the gifts she gave us the year before. This year was no exception! She made this amazing picture for me. If you look close all of the pieces of the heart are small pictures of me and my friends! I was amazed! I still can't get over it! I just love it so much!  So I decided to hang it above my bed. I don't have a headboard and I have really felt like my room was lacking something to pull it together. I think this picture does it nicely! And yes, I sleep with a stuffed animal. I'm single, don't judge! I also sleep with 5 pillows. I tend to fall out of bed. They are like my bumpers! HA! Seriously though I just love it and it's so neat to look at all the pics of different friends and stages in my life and remember all of the fun memories! Thanks Liz!!
