My two new favorite pictures!!

Are words really necessary? I think not.

So I like to laugh...

I was looking at old pictures the other night and found these from my Brother's Wedding almost 3 years ago! I don't think I had this blog then, so you never saw them! They made me smile though, it was such a good time and that was clearly reflected in me laughing my bottom off in these pics! Rehersal dinner, Chantelle and I are sporting our matching Bridesmaid hoodies. I still have mine and wear it to this day! The dinner was so much fun, totally informal and we all told stories about Kev and Liz growing up and together. I want to do that when I get married, although I have a feeling I might be getting paid back for the stories I told!!

Pink Weds- Flash back!

And here we have a Pink Weds Flash Back! This is last weeks outfit because I struggle and totally forgot to post this pic! I was trying to change up my posing but alas I am still struggling. What else is new? This was also the I don't think I"m going to do my hair day. I have those once in awhile. Ok often! And I would just like to point out that exactly 4!!! months from today is my birthday! Start planning ahead peoples!!

My Boyfriend- Vin Diesel

I've been keeping a secret from y'all.. I have a boyfriend. And his name. is. Vin Diesel. He's the quiet but strong type. Here we are on our second date. He's not a fan of the paparrazi. And apparently I have a burn from the flashing lights. Darn those paparazzi. Or maybe I just found some old pictures and decided to put them on my blog because I had nothing better to blog about.... You'll never know!

10-25-03

Saturday, October 25 2003 was by far the worst day of my life. I'm sitting here trying to decide what to write and already my eyes are filling up with tears. Not unusual since I have cried myself to sleep almost every night for the week leading up to this day. It happens every year. Every year I think it will get better and I won't feel the pain and regret, but every year it is still there. On that horrible morning I watched someone I love so much die. I stood at the foot of his bed and watched him die. No matter how much time goes by, that horror is with me. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Not even my worst enemy. To stand by the bed of someone you love so much and watch them struggle to breathe and eventually watch the heart rate go lower, and the breathing go slower and finally...... Nothing. It haunts me. For most of the year I can put it out of my head. Forget about it. Pretend it didn't happen. That I wasn't there. But as soon as October creeps up the feeling cr

7 Quick Takes

Yes, this is a day late because I've been blessed with some sort of a bug and spent yesterday praying for my death or the coming of Jesus. Sadly neither happened so I'm still here fighting the last dredges of it.. 1. I got to have lunch with my Grams and her cousin Joyce on Thursday. The two of them together are quite a pair! Joyce is in her 60's and searching for a man and the stories she tells are HILARIOUS!! 2. We made it through the first week of Spring Registration. But not without consuming large amounts of chocolate, cookies, coke, caffeine and Excedrin. Only 6? More weeks to go!! 3. 6 weeks makes me cry a little bit. 4. So looking forward to Thanksgiving! I love that we get two days off I will be home at my parents for a blessed 4 days of peace and good food! YAYS!! 5. I finally switched over to my fall/winter clothes and it decides to get warm? What the mess? Please remind me of this when it gets cold at the end of next week and I am whining! 6. Sometimes I hear my

Having a Mary Spirit- Chpt 4 Spirit Check

WOW. So I wasn't kidding when I said that God is using real life examples every week to teach me what we are learning through this Bible Study. I am excited and slightly terrified of what he is putting me through (or rather my sinful self!) and how I am going to change, grow and learn. This past week was entitled Spirit Check. I was actually at home sick with a Migraine last week and missed the actual study. I honestly think that was Satan because if I had been able to learn this then and attach it to my heart and change my ways it would have saved me from alot of heartache last week and early this week. Everytime I went to read this chapter something would stop me or prevent me from reading it. The final time i attempted I was outside at lunch in the quiet, looking forward to spending a quiet hour with God. I was still on the first page of the chapter when a car parked by me blaring rap music. I got so frusterated and annoyed! And then I thought you know everytime I have tried to

A Very Special Pink Weds!!

Today is Madi's very FIRST Pink Weds! And she is properly attired and having a fabulous time!! Its also my Momma's Birthday!! Happy Birthday Mom! I love you! (even if you never read my blog!!)

They just slliiiiiiiidddeeeee out!

Jenni reminded me the other night that I had forgotten to blog about the other conversation we had with scardey-cat med student little man. Apparently I had tried to block it out of my memory. In a moment you will understand why... Right after we had finished jumping up and down screaming WE"RE HAVING A BABY!!!!! We composed ourselves and the little dude walked past us to go into Em's room. One of us asked him how long he thought it would take. He responded that it could take anywhere from 30 mins to 2-5 hours. At that point Jenni and I both groaned in agony as we both had to get up early for work. I commented that hopefully it wouldn't take that long as when Emboz had Bethy she said it went fairly quick. So the little man asked how many kids she had given birth to. I replied that this was her second. He responded that was a good sign because the more kids you have THE LOOSER THINGS GET DOWN THERE. We went on to inform us that by the time you have your fifth child it just

I am a baby stalker..

Ok I'm officially a baby stalker!! Despite the fact I had been there less than 12 hours before, I went and visited Madi and Emboz at the Hospital the next day over my lunch break! I just couldn't get enough of that precious baby girl!! She was sleeping so I just watched her sleep and I tell you I could have stayed there all day long and watched her sleep! It was precious and very entertaining! I loved all of the little baby noises she was making in her sleep! And she also sticks her tounge out which is just ADORABLE!!!! She looked like a little kitten!! Sweet Baby Girl She is just beautiful! And like her big sis, looks EXACTLY like her Momma!! Momma and Baby! If you notice her festive pink hospital gown, that was made by my bestie Kim! If you're having a baby and want to look as fabulous as Emboz does, shoot me a msg and we'll hook you up!! I just can't get enough of this face!!!!! God is good!!

We have a BABY!!!

I think this is my new all time favorite picture! The JOY that was in that room once little Madi was born was overwhelming! I was so blessed to be there and get to see her and HOLD her! I wasn't expecting that at all so I was over the moon!!! Such a precious baby girl! And she was so alert too! Her eyes were open the entire time! She was just taking it all in. While chewing on her fingers of course. She is in love with her hands!! Soooo stinkin cute!! And this is my second favorite picture! I love how she's looking at me checking me out! This is the new background on my work computer and I stare at her all day long! She's just TOO CUTE!!! Again with the hands, she was all about the hands! It was amazing to see how perfectly formed her little body was right down to the fingers. Her fingernails even needed cut! Seeing this tiny perfect baby just made me wonder how on earth that people cannot believe in God. Seeing this perfectly formed human come out of her mother's b

SHE'S having a baby!!!!

So as I have documented on this blog, my dear friend Emboz has been pregnant for what seems like forever. She finally gave her last eviction notice on Thursday, October 14 and Madelyn Faith finally gave up the fight to stay in her warm, squishy home and came out to meet the world. Emboz invited me to the hospital beforehand so I went over after I got off work at 6 pm and proceeded to stay there untill after Madi arrived and I got to see and hold her. I finally left close to midnight. The alarm going off 6 1/2 hours later when I only had 4 1/2 hours sleep was not a beautiful noise. but I digress! I would do it all over again!! Grandma Lisa asked me if I was staying for the whole thing and I said Heck No! I have to work tomorrow! But, after I had been there over 3 hours and the informed us she was about to push I wasn't going anywhere!! So we evacuated the premises of the delivery room and hung out in the lounge untill the baby was born a mere 30 mins later! And bonus, we turned o

My latest medical adventure!!

And I would just like to say NO I did not play with the instruments in the Dr's office again. I somewhat learned my lesson after I got caught the last time. 0=-) Anywho, I had the joy and pleasure of being tortured at my Dermatologist's yesterday afternoon. I had a suspicious mole on my back so I went in for a Shave Biopsy. Yeah. It was about as fun as it sounds. I've had other moles removed so I knew somewhat what to expect. Apes kept telling me that I would be fine and I would be laying down on my tummy taking a rest and the worst part would be the numbing. Was she ever right about the latter. They did not let me lay on my tummy they had me sit up on a gurney that they raised so he could be eye level with my back. Did I mention I have a fear of heights? LIke can't even climb two rings up a ladder fear of heights? No worries, I soon forgot all about the height situation when he shoved a needle in my back. I seriously needing numbing to BE numbed!! By far the worst part

Having a Mary Spirit- Chapter 3 Twisted Sisters

Well God is continuing to show me real life examples of what we learn in Bible Study each week and specifically what *I* need to learn and change in my heart! It can be a tad painful at times, but again like the book says, Its a good hurt. I admit sometimes when I am faced with everything in my life and heart that is sinful and God needs to chang it can be a little daunting, but the Bible says that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. A few weeks ago someone brought that verse up and they said something I hadn't thought about. God says he will be faithful to complete us but he doesnt' give us a time frame. He has his own time frame and we may not be completed untill we go to Heaven. That makes me feel better! Because I look at myself and think WHOA. There is no way that all of this is getting changed anytime soon! And it helps me to remember that i'm on God's time frame and not my own. Which is wonderful because I am the most impatient hurrie

Bits and Pieces.. Aka I'm bored and rambling..

Hmmm... what should I blog about today?? How about some random ramblings of my bored brain? Sounds like a plan! Do you notice anything different about me in the top picture? Minus the normal goofy expression that means I was on lunch break and entertaining myself with my camera yet again... And no, I have no shame. Sticking some random pictures in here as well, here are me and Apes on Friday afternoon at the Oktoberfest party at work. We're so cute!! Did you guess that the different thing was my blond hair? I had Katie Marie highlight it Friday night during Girls Nite! She is becoming quite the expertise on highlighting! I'm not sure if I love it love it but i'm adjusting. The first time she did my hair back in May we used a box of some fabulous stuff that I LOVED, but of course if I love a product that means they will discontinue it within a few days without me knowing. Such is life!! I am liking the change though, I can't have my hair one color/style for too long or i

Katie Marie-Curly Girlie!

Katie Marie stopped by my apt Tuesday night to show off her new 'do!! She got her hair did and went curly! (just for the night!) it looked SOOOOO CUTE!! I told her she was wearing that in my wedding (if I get married before 95 and we all still have hair) Isn't she just precious? I thought she looked like a 1930's flapper girl! And she had RUFFLES on her shirt! RUFFLES PEOPLE!!!!

Harrietta

Meet Harrietta. She's a Nursing Student. She has many health related things on her mind. Harrietta and her maker. Thankfully Harietta has an IV of Monster Energy drinks to keep her going. Blood Samples *shivers* Urine Sample Harrietta is our entry into our Pumpkin Carving Contest. Pink Weds Bible Study!!

So as the Hospitality Director for our Women's Bible Study on Weds nights I am in charge of dressing up the tables and making it a beautiful and inviting place to be. These are my centerpieces if you will on each of the six tables. The fact that the bottom left second bead is out of line is driving me CRAZY!! The ladies have picked up on my pickiness of the beads and now tease me that they are going to move them! Too cute :)

Heart Smiles

So I have been cleaning out my emails, specifically my email folders, yes I am an Email Hoarder. Yahoo is going to love me after I get done!! Anywho, I was going through some emails from an ex, (why i kept them I don't know!) and I found this email that my Grandma had written to him. Long story. I had made him forward it to me so I could see what she said.. And well.. read it yourself. It brings a little tear to my eye. I love my family.. "Charity is a very bright, beautiful, talented and tender hearted young lady. I once got a five year old cocker spaniel who was meaner than a pit viper because the people had abused him and I was going to take him to the dog pound and she (who doesn't care much for animals) begged me to keep him for a week and see if he'd change. I did and Oscar the Grouch died of old age here, much loved and not mean at all. I now have a funny black dog (part cocker) that she rescued and insisted that Gpa would like to have him to take the pl

Playing Dress up!

For a few weeks now I have been wanting to wear a dress. I have no clue why. Finally today I decided it was time to fulfill that need and sported this cute little black and grey number. You can't really tell but the bottom of the dress has grey flowers on it, hence the grey shoes that kinda? match? And yes I still haven't figured out how to set the timer on my loaner camera so we are back to bathroom pics!! Side note-I really wish I had saved this dress for Friday. I have to attend an awards ceremony in the afternoon, and as a nominee I have to look respectable. This would have been PERFECT! Sniffles. An up close shot of my necklace at lunch. I think one of the reasons I love big sunglasses so well is that they make my huge cantalope head look smaller :) As I was telling Apes today my nickname as a child was "Hollywood" no clue why :)

7 Quick Takes!

1. This is my new background on my work computer. It motivates me. Danny Gokey I <3> 2. I got new lip balm from my Avon lady at church, Cinnamon Spice. And it tastes like Carrots? I strangely like it! 3. Apparently my obsession with lipgloss/balms is being noticed in the world because a student came in today and was shocked I wasn't balming my lips! HA!! 4. I will be at home in my apt this weekend for the first time since mid August. Elated does not begin to describe it. I am so stinking tired. 5. So tired that I'm thinking of skipping the Acoustic Cafe at our church to stay at home in my pj's but I think Jessica Berger might kill me possibly. 6. So excited not to have to get up early Saturday or go anywhere. Its going to be pj's all day long. And its going to be COLD here too! In the 60's!! brrrr.. 7. Yes I realize I am a Midwestern girl but the 3 years in LA/Pcola made me a southerner and now anytime its below 70 I am shivering.
