Easter 2016 Recap!

For once I actually have something interesting to blog about! As we all know last weekend was Easter, and this year I decided to switch it up and host my first holiday dinner at my house! Our Church had several services, one being a SATURDAY afternoon service. I was all about that! Mornings with my chronic illness body are really not great for me. So an afternoon service was an answer to prayer! I'm still praying when we move into our new church building that they add a Saturday evening service. But I digress. I invited my parents to come to church with me and then back to my home for dinner as well as some other guests! I think this was the first holiday dinner we've had with friends, and I don't know why we waited so long to include other people!! I had such a fun time decorating the table and getting stuff to look pretty. I legit had a list for the week of what I needed to do on each day. And I might have taken a few too many pictures of my table s

Week Wrap up!

N ormal people do Weekend Wrap Up's, but being a person with a chronic illness, my weekends are not very exciting! They are usually spent resting up for the next week. So with that in mind, here is my Week Wrap Up!  By far the best part of this past week was finally being able to use my newly set up Porch Swing!! I love it!!!  My Mom came last week and put it together while I was teaching, (What a Good Momma!!) And earlier this week it was finally warm enough for me to enjoy it! I will say that the seat is rather short, I carry my height in my thighs, so I felt like I was missing some of the seat! It's also kind of short, but I got 4 inch blocks to put it up on so that my knees aren't up to my chin. #TallPeopleProblems  My grass is already turning green! Ack!! And yes, I know I have patches of no grass at all. My backyard is still struggling after the Great Sewer Repair of 2015.  My pasty white legs got some much needed sun! I am proud to say I now ha

My Birthday!!

We all know I celebrate my Birthday BIG. I am fond of calling it my Birthday week. This year it has stretched out a little bit longer than a week, and I am ok with that! :) Friday got the weekend started off with a special surprise dropped off by one of my students! A Gigi's cupcake!!! This is how I felt..  If you've ever had a Gigi's cupcake you understand my excitement. If you haven't, I will pray for you.  Gigi's cupcakes are the most delicious cupcakes with about 3 inches of frosting. Possibly 4 inches. It's massive and wonderful!  The only thing better than one Gigi's cupcake is two Gigi's cupcakes. Hashtag Blessed.   Friday night I went to Gigi's for my free birthday cupcake, treated myself to Firehouse subs, and then went to Gordman's to redeem the Birthday cash they sent me. I got some yummy smelling body spray, super cheap! Love Gordman's!  And then on my way to check out the shoes I just happened upon th
