OOTD

After a serious post we're back to fluff!! I have discovered that I can set my camera on my baker's rack and take a full length picture of myself in the morning. So now you all will be regaled with ootd when I actually have something cute on. Which is close to never, so don't get too excited!  Above is this week's Pink Weds. I need a different cardi with my dress but that is the only white one I have. I have never been the girl to be obsessed with jewelry or accessories, well I like purses, but I'm lucky to put jewelry on. I own it, I just don't think about it when I'm racing thru my morning routine. However, that being said, I absolutely LOVE this necklace! So much that I wore it two days in a row! I joke that I feel like I've made it in the blog world now that I have one of the knockoff necklaces that everyone is wearing.  Isn't it such a pretty necklace? and with my background of my beautiful new curtains I purchased. Although are t

Ramblings of a 30 year old Single girl...

I usually don't get as personal as I am going to today on this blog so hold onto your hats and flip flops folks! Kelly over at the great and fabulous and inspiring Kelly's Korner Blog  did a great post about the love stories from her annual SUYL Show us your Singles, and the final story from Toi really hit home with me. I immediately had to email my BFF Kim and send her over to the blog and she had the same reaction as I did.  Finally, there is someone out there who understands what it is like to be a Christian Single Gal in your 30's!! Now before you think I'm waiting until 11:11 to make a wish for a booyyyfrrreeeennnn calm down. I do enjoy my time to myself (what little I have with a full time job and 9 Piano Students) and the ability to do what I choose, when I choose. I'm not moping into Ben and Jerry's every weekend, but there is a huge part of me that longs to be married.  For as long as I remember I have known that my calling is to be a w

Apes and Cherrybear Reunited Again!

Friday night Sherita and I met up with Apes in Champaign, IL for what is now our annual "date" at Olive Garden. I made the misfortune of drinking not a venti but the bigger sized drink at Starbucks before I hit the road for IL. Not my best choice. However I will say that the Very Berry Hibiscus is a very yummy drink!  Anywho, I was happy to arrive at Olive Garden and even Happier to see my Apes and if possible even happier than that to eat! I had a very light lunch that day in preparation of our date and I was STARVING, or so it felt like when we arrived. I wish my top hadn't been moved to the side in these pics, it really was a cute top! Anywho I had the Portabello Di Ravioli or something like that and it was beyond yummy! For the first time I think I cleared my plate at OG. That never happens! But like I said, I was STARVING! We had a great dinner there and then moved to Barnes and Noble where Apes and Sherita showed me that I am a Winter and a Cool c

The Mis-Adventures of Audie and Cherrybear Part 7897 Hanging Curtain Rods

Friday night Audra and I had a brilliant plan for our first Girls Nite at my new place! We planned to have my fancy new toasted sandwiches that I made up, after we hung my new curtains. After finding a baby power drill in my tool box I was sure that this was going to be easy peasy. Like all ill fated plans it was not to be so.  As you can see it started out well. Audie took the first try of putting up number 1 of 3 three brackets. While she worked on that I went to get a hammer and nail since we were having issues starting the hole. While I was getting the items I smelled something burning. It turns out when you have piled thick slices of tomatoes on you homemade sandwiches and put them in a toaster oven, the tops of them get burnt. Whoops. So I rescued the sandwiches and cut new tops to them and put them in the over to melt the brie cheese and get all yummy. I set the timer on 10 minutes thinking that's all the time it would take to install the curtain rods.  Boy oh bo

A visit from Mr Oliver

Thursday I was so excited to have an Office Visit from Mr Oliver! His Mommy is one of our former students and a friend of mine. I was in HEAVEN having some baby love and snuggles! Despite the pictures above he did give me several big smiles! Such a content happy little boy!! I shouldn't say little, he is 4 1/2 months and he is a chunky dunk! He liked being held on the left side of my body so I held him that way for about a half hour, and my muscle hurt afterwards! One of those inside of your arm muscles that you never use unless you have kids! It was well worth it though! He made my day!! I had to control myself and not just chomp away at his cheeks. I love pudgy cheeks! nom nom nom Thanks for coming to see me Oliver and Amber!!

The Townhouse Tour- The Living Room(Before)

Well here we are at My Living Room! I've entitled this as Before because there are many things I want to do to it! One of them being new curtains, which I'm ordering this weekend and SUPER excited about! I'm also waiting to get a coffee table and new sofa and a loveseat, so what you see here is temporary. The above picture is what you see when you walk inside my door and turn your head right! My Bakers rack which holds my purse and my keys, and a few random things that I haven't figured out where to store.  This is the big shot of my living room as you're standing in the doorway.  The stairs to upstairs where my bedroom, master bath and spare room/office are. These are immediately inside the door.  Here you can see the stair rail, and my tv armoire and part of my living room. The black chair is actually used for my Piano lessons, so it's only there when I'm not teaching. Here's a look at my windows that will soon be covered by some su
