7 Quick Takes

1. I have already started writing my Mid Week Confessions for next week. The first one is an epic idiot moment. 2. I'm so excited about house sitting and Cubbie sitting for Audie this weekend!! I feel like I'm going on vacation as well! I can't wait to snuggle up on the couch and watch cable tv with Cubbie while it's cold and rainy Saturday. 3. I randomly went to Sears this week and managed to clean up at their massive clearance sale! I got 6 new shirts for 25.00!!! 4. I'm trying to dress cuter for work but i just really struggle putting outfits together and i feel like none of my pants fit me perfectly. Like they fit in one section and are too big in another. drives me nuts!! 5. I am BEYOND excited about seeing my Apes in May!! 6. My hair is finally starting to take off growing and it's getting so bushy and longer!! YAYS! 7. I really envy people who have tans. But I don't envy people who have skin cancer so i'm good.

What's in Your Wallet?

I love reading US Weekly's What's in your purse article, so I thought I would show you the travesty that is my purse. I actually had to clean out my purse because it was getting too heavy, and I wanted to switch from the black purse up top, to the pink one at left. So I dumped all of my purse out on the floor and was shocked by everything that was in it! Let me give you a sampling of some of the items. All the loose pills are from a weekend home where I threw a pill bottle in my purse and the dumb thing unscrewed and dumped all over my purse. I carry a makeup bag filled with other bottles of medicine. Yes I am a walking pharmacy. Pink Watch for my Piano Lessons. Notebook for my Piano Lessons. Nasal Spray. Just keepin it real. Two pairs of glasses. Sunglasses. My Cruz Android, which is very heavy!! Camera. Card Reader. 5 pens. 3 Lip glosses. 1 Lipstick. BeautiControl Powder. Biofreeze for Migraines. Contact Case.

Adventures with Audie!

Tuesday night Audie and I had a girls nite after I finished teaching my Piano Lessons. I met her at her house to go over what I need to know to take care of Mr. Cubbie James this weekend. We headed out to Purdue's Dining halls to have dinner! That was a fun experience. I have never eaten at a dining hall other than PCC's so I was interested to see how it differed. For one thing the trays were much nicer and there was no swirly carpet that makes you dizzy just by looking at it. Before we went I had cautioned Audie that I was going to take pictures and document our fun for the blog. She said that was ok but asked me to be discrete. So I humored her and left my purse and camera at her house. I really wished I had it with me, as the table that was right next to us had a young fellow wearing a BRIGHT RED COWBOY HAT, a kerchief across his throat, a plaid red shirt, wranglers, and boots. I looked at Audra and said all I'm going to say is look at the table next to us. And you

Mid Week Confessions

I confess that I have a slight bit of road rage. When I am driving on a 4 lane road, especially when the lane ends, I really get mad when people come up beside me in the ending lane and want to pass me to merge in. You know the lane ends, behave yourself and merge in instead of trying to pass me to get 3.4 seconds faster to where you're going. You're not going to get there faster if you cause a wreck!! I also have a big of parking lot annoyance. For the past several months at work I have been parking in the same spot. Two weeks ago out of nowhere someone has started STEALING my parking space! No my name is not on it, but seriously people. Stop it! I only get more annoyed when I see that they have a pair of handcuffs hanging from their rear view mirror. To me this looks 1. Stupid and 2. Trashy, and 3. Tells me it's one of the CJ majors that work in student patrol, which is located RIGHT INSIDE THE DOOR THEY PARK BY! Like seriously!! You work right inside the door. Wal

The Townhouse-Bedding

Yes, you are reading correctly, I am actually blogging about the bedding I am going to purchase for my new home. Partially so I will remember where it's at! I am planning on purchasing this set from Macy's, as soon as I actually get a Queen Sized bed. It's going to be a splurge for me, but hey,  at the age of 30 it's time to get away from bed in a bag, can I get an amen? Slightly accidentally, my bedroom has shaped into the black, pink and lime color scheme. A few years back Mom got me a comforter with all of those colors in it, and then a year ago Katie Marie made me my fabulous picture holder, out of an old grey mirror she had. She lined with with fabric that matched those colors. Since then I have accumulated many black, pink or lime objects for my bedroom and truth be known I actually LOVE the color scheme so I'm taking it and running! I still don't know whether I will get a black sleigh bed or not. I would love one, but we'll see. Audra my cr

Movin' On Up

Well the time is approaching ever so quickly for me to move into my new townhouse. A little quicker than I had anticipated as last week I got a call from the complex wanting to know if I could move in sooner than my anticipated July 27'th moving date. So now I am getting my keys on JUNE 29'th and having the great move the following day, June 30'th. I am excited to be in my place quicker, (especially since I woke up at 4 am to the smell of Sewage coming from my shower) but my planner control freak inside of me is FREAKING OUT!!! at the loss of a month to plan and pack. Not to mention I am really wanting to get some new furniture, especially a new Queen Sized bed, so I'm slightly scrambling to look at my budget again and figure out when I can buy things for my new place.  The top three items are 1.Queen Bed, 2. Armoire Entertainment Center and 3. Dark wood Coffee Table. OH! And I can't forget a Washer and Dryer! ACK! My parents are giving me end table

Tidbits

Alright, I've got to do better at this blogging thing. I don't know what my problem is lately, but I just feel like I don't have anything decent to talk about! I promise I will work my hardest to get out of this blogging slump. Thanks to the three people that still read and stick with me :) I want a new blog design but I really don't want to pay for it. With a move coming up and trying to acquire new furniture, money can't be wasted on a blog design. But oh how I can dream... I've felt like I have been really busy lately and after looking at my calendar I realized Indeed I have been and will continue to be. My weekends are booked up until May 18'th. I fear that I may never see some of my friends again and that the Bubbies will be headed off to college by the time I get to visit them. I got SO excited last night when my friend Bradley put on his fb that H&M was coming to town!! There was an article up on our news channel today confirming it.

Ladies who lunch! April Edition

I had the pleasure of going to Emboz new house for lunch on Tuesday! I was pretty happy to see this little stinker. I just love that cheesy little face!!   Em had to run a quick errand, so I stayed with Madi and we sat on the couch and had a little chat. She is getting SO vocal! It's hilarious! My Mom called and I had her on speaker phone, and as I told her I loved her and said goodbye Madi piped in and said BYE!!! SOOOOO CUTE!!   Apparently she was done talking in this pic. Conversation Over!   This one looks like she's really pondering something.  Probably what trouble she can get into next!   Em and I were upstairs having a house tour, which btw their house is HUGE and fabulous! And we came downstairs to find Madi crawled up on a chair at the table, she had unwrapped a straw and STUCK IT INTO A DRINK, and was trying to abscond with her Mommy's pop. I wish I had got a picture of her face when we caught her! BUSTED! I was so impressed she knew how

Mid Week Confessions

This is rather embarrassing to admit, but, I got a letter from the Library informing me my privileges have been revoked. Apparently a book I returned had wet pages, (ahem from my milk spilling, yes It's my fault) I *stupidly* thought since the book beside it, which was mine, dried, then it would be fine. Um yeah, not fine. Whoopsie! Now I have to go chunk down twenty eight dollars to have my privileges returned and I'm wondering if this is going to go on my permanent library record???! I went all day today thinking I looked super cute and so put together until I saw the pictures I had taken and went UGH. Why is it that you can look in the mirror and think your hair and outfit look good and then see yourself in a picture and realize you were greatly struggling? Am I the only one this happens to? My breaks need replaced on my truck and this is resulting in very LOUD squealing and grinding noises. I am SO embarrassed when I go to church and people hear my loud truck. Nowh

Tidbits...

My head hurts. I got my stitches out this week finally, and it was a relief to have them out as they were beginning to itch and feel weird. But I went to my Chiro today to get my neck put back in place and sweet mercy, him touching the back of my head to stretch me just about made me cry! I still have an egg on the back of my head. The swelling has gone down alot but I still have a very pronounced egg. Thankfully just last night I was finally able to sleep with my head laid back on the pillow. Trying to sleep only on my left side was getting old. It is 7 pm on a Friday night and since I got off work I have: Went to CVS, Cleaned my kitchen, did the dishes, made dinner, ate dinner, did laundry, watched last nights's Greys, painted my toes neon pink and read people magazine. It's pathetic, but I want to fall asleep now. I am SO tired!! This might possibly be the most boring post ever, but I'm trying to blog more than once or twice a week!  What does one buy for

Mid Week Confessions-The Crankysauce Edition

So I know E is on vacation this week (oh how I wish to be her!) but let's face it, I've got alot of stuff to confess. So E or no E, the confessions must go on!! I am learning that I have a huge character flaw of when I am stressed or in a bad mood, irritated, ect. I just want to be left alone. I don't want people to ask me questions, or have to chit chat, I just want to be left alone. This goes well at night since I live alone but doesn't play out that well at work when I work in a front office with 2-3 other people. I'm beginning to fear for my future husband as this isn't going to work out so well if and when I get married. Separate wings anyone?? Something KMuss said at Bible Study last week really stuck with me. I've heard it before and really needed to hear it again. She said that our Joy should not come from our circumstances and our emotions.  Oh boy howdy, I confess that I am horrible at this.  I live life on my emotions, or so my Mom tell

Stiches and a Concussion.. Not the Easter Weekend I'd planned on..

Well I did not exactly have the Easter weekend that I had planned  upon. Thursday I fell at work and hit my head on a metal bar. By the Grace of God my Daddy was in town and picked me up and took me to the Dr where I got stitches and found out I had a concussion.   And no I will not be sharing the story of how I fell, just yet. We are still in the stage of it not being funny whatsoever.   If you ever get injured I would not recommend hitting your head. Especially the back of it. Not being able to lay on it when you are trying to sleep, no bueno. I don't even know why I went to bed Thursday and Friday nights. I can finally put a little pressure on it, but still can't sleep on the back of my head.   Thankfully by Easter Sunday I was starting to feel better and was able to go to church which I was VERY happy about! I am still upset that I missed Good Friday Service, but I was in no shape to go anywhere.   I felt very color coordinated since my stitches were bl

Remember When....... I hurt my knee at camp? and started Stalking?

It was the summer of 2000. I had just graduated highschool and was gearing up to leave for my freshman year of college at Pensacola Christian College, in Florida.  Before I headed off to college, at the end of July I went to an International Music Competition and Camp in Florida. I was competing in the Small Vocal Group and with a Piano solo. When we got there we were assigned to cabins and shock of all shocks I was the oldest girl in the cabin by about 4 years. And of course the tallest. I became sort of an un official counselor since I was so much older than the rest of the girls. I competed in my categories and rocked both of them, after that it was time to relax and have fun for the two days before the awards ceremony, which was the night before we left. * On Tuesday night we had a mix mash of hide and seek and capture the flag. Each cabin had to make it to the front road of the property we were on, about a mile or so away, without any of the leaders catching us. Did I

Remember When....

Kim and I have been reminiscing about our glory days in college and she had the brilliant idea that I should start a Remember When? Series and document all of my tales and old stories. Things I had forgotten about. I thought that was awesome, I'm always wanting to know more about my parents lives in the olden days :) So I thought it would be nice to have somewhere to put all of my old memories. Let's face it people, my memory is going already and I've just hit 30. it's not looking good for me folks!! So Stay tuned for upcoming flashbacks of the life and times of Cherrybear!

Mid Week Confessions

I may or may not email Kim and Audra with the subject line of "Important" only to have them open the email and read that I need outfit help. I also may or may not have emailed a co worker with the subject line of "HELP" in order to get her to come up to the front office and watch a student for me so I could escape to the bathroom. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I get insanely proud of myself when I have made it to 2 pm without getting any items of food on my outfit. Yes, I am 30 years old and still working on this! I really should stop writing these days ahead of time, because the following day I spilled milk on my shirt before 7 am. Before I had even left my apt for work. Do you see now why I need outfit help? I buy food at Menards. Before you think this is insane, they have quite the selection! For example, I love Frosted Mini Wheats, well Menards has their own off brand of them, which are quite good, and their 27 oz box was 1.

Monday MishMash

I am just now getting around to transferring some of my pictures onto my computer so this is a mish mash of new and old. A few weeks ago Bergs and Gunnar picked me up for a special Birthday Lunch at where else? DOG N SUDS!! My love for Dog N Suds runs true and deep.  Bergs and Baby Clella Mae also approved!!!!! I think Bergs looks super cute as a preggo, classy as always!! And yes we did take pictures with me in them, but my head looked GINORMOUS, like bigger than all of Clella, so out of kindness for the masses, I will not be posting that egregiousness!  I got rid of my kitchen table a few weeks ago, because in my new place the dining room will be my Piano studio and seriously people, I eat on the couch.  So I was enjoying the empty space in my kitchen when I realized I could really use my old desk from my parents house. Mom graciously carted it all the way here and I helped her put it together and it's working out marvelously! I created my own little office in my kitc
