What's Up Wednesday!

Whooo Hooo! It's What's up Wednesday, the last Wednesday of the month and I am actually blogging this on the day I'm supposed to! (Was that a Pig I just saw in the sky???) On to the fun! -What I'm Eating this week- I desperately need to go grocery shopping, so meals have been interesting! It's eat whatever you can find around here. I do have cereal and milk so at least Breakfast is covered. -What I'm reminiscing about- I have a digital picture frame in my kitchen, and I have been looking at it while working at my kitchen table. I put some of my favorite pictures of Snugglemuffin as a wee little one on it. I'm loving remembering him when he was little bitty! -What I'm Loving- If my body/health holds up I will actually get to see several friends this week and next week! Hurray!! I'm in need of friend time! -What I've been up to- Work, work and more work :) Thankfully I love my job! I've been hard at work on

A Day in the Life-Summer 2015

I have seen many day in the life posts on the blogs I read and have always wanted to do my own but figured they were just for people with kids. But last week I saw a single girl post one and I thought hey, if she can do it, so can I! Who knows how exciting this day will be :) but I tried to pick a busy one so that I would have lots to write about. And lots I did. I filled up 3 1/5 pages in my notebook of my day. It was slightly awkward to take pictures of everything, so not everything has a picture! Shocking, I know.  So here is a day in the life of this Piano Teacher, Summer of 2015! 8:25 am. It's Monday morning and my alarm goes off. I groan a little bit, but turn it off, and grab my tablet to check email and fb while I convince myself to get out of bed. 8:40 am. I finally convinced myself :) I get out of bed, and take my morning medicines. 8:50 Normally I get up and move around for a bit before I take a shower, but today I have somewhere to be in the late mornin

Girls Night with A&A

Last night Audra and Addie came over to my house and we had a girls night dinner! Funny Story, I put chicken in the crock pot to make chicken tacos for our dinner. They were frozen so I put them in earlier in the day. During the afternoon I was teaching and one family came in and sniffed and thought it smelled SO good. The brother of my student sighed in glee when I said it was chicken tacos. He was all about crashing dinner, until he heard that it was going to be girls night. His little 9 yr old self wanted nothing to do with that! ha!  I had to take some pictures of my set up, all of the glassware was my Grams. I wasn't sure what to do with it, and I thought why not use it! No sense in having pretty things and not using them. So I did!  I would also like to point out that I grew the lettuce pictured here! Despite Audra wondering what was wrong with it (small lettuce) I did in fact grow leaf lettuce! And it was tasty!  For the first time Addie was actually AWAKE du

Show and Tell Tuesdays: Beauty Routine

Today I'm linking up with one of my favorite bloggers, Andrea, to join in on her Show and Tell Tuesdays. This week it is all about Beauty Routines, and I thought it sounded like fun! I am no beauty expert, and my motto is to spend as little of time putting on makeup as possible. So here's my routine! I need to start off by saying this is my Summer Routine. I wanted to wear less face makeup, think NO foundation, but I have less than perfect skin. I bought some Jergen's Self Tanner Moisturizer for my face to help even out my skin tone, and give my face some color. (After the Dermatologist nightmare from earlier this year, I have become hardcore about sunscreen and keeping my face out of the sun) I'm happy to say the Self Tanner is working and I do not look like Oompa Loompa! * My Junior year roomies and suitemates are relieved at this point.* I put on the self tanner in the evenings, maybe every other day, or when i remember to do it :) After I get out of the
