Weekly Phone Dump

So this is what I walked into when I came into my office Weds morning. Not gonna lie, I yelped a little bit. I have since become friends with Freida and Estelle. We took them to a job fair and I got some mighty strange looks as I carried them inside. Tuesday was my 12 Piano Student day and the entire day I was on pins and needles waiting for the UPS man to arrive and bring me this! Now that I work somewhere pt where I need to look ahem decent? like a grown up? stylish! I figured it was time to learn how to wear eye shadow. This was greatly recommended  so I got over the price and bought it and watched some youtube tutorials on how to apply the shades!  It must have half way worked as two of our stylists complimented me on my eyes Weds!  I found myself a harvest-y door decoration. So I had to pose with it. Actually I was waiting on one of the previously mentioned 12 students and took a picture of myself. Last but not least, my outfit for the job fair Weds! We had a

Saturday Night Rewind

I found both of these old pictures on my phone. I can't believe how LITTLE Snugglemuffin is in this pic!! That was when I visited him 4'th of July 2011. He is growing soo fast. It's funny how I thought he had alot of hair then.  Other than my adorable Nephew, most pictures on my phone look something along the lines of this...... and other odd shenanigans.. I have no memory of most of them!

My Week

Well I've had an interesting week to say the least. Let me just tell you a little story. Last week Katie Marie and I went to Emboz's for a Jewelry Party. While we were there I had this fabulous dessert that Emboz called "Crack". It was chocolate toffee and super easy to make! Audie moved last weekend and I had planned to take her over dinner Monday night and in preparation for that I made a test batch of Crack on Saturday night. Well it turned out VERY WELL. And was super yummy. So yummy that at 10:30 Saturday night while I was in bed trying to sleep for church the next morning, all  could think about was this dessert! So I thought I would get out of bed and go downstairs and have a little piece and then maybe  I could sleep. So I got out of bed and went to go downstairs. I got about 3 steps down and lost my footing, I'm still not really sure what happened. What I do know is that one minute I was standing up and the next minute I had fallen and was contin

Show us your Singles!!~ Kim- a Florida Beauty!

I may be biased but I also have extremely good taste in people, so just trust me when I say that my Best Friend Kim is someone you need to meet! She is 31 (doesn't she not look a day over 25??) and is pretty much the greatest person I know! We have been best friends for the past 10 years and she is prolly the most loyal person you will ever meet. I went thru a rough phase and wasn't walking with God and really wasn't any type of person that you'd want to be around and yet she stuck by my side.  She prayed for me, and loved me even when I wasn't very loveable. She was there to help me piece back together my life when I needed it the most. Kim really has a heart for the Lord and strives to live for him in her daily life. She is very involved with ministries at her church, including AWANA and the Choir, which her brother in law who just happens to be one of her Pastor's, directs.  Kim is very feminine but she is also the

Snugglemuffin & Auntie Chewy's Adventures

I've been putting off blogging about Snugglemuffin's visit because it is SO HARD to narrow down which pictures to post! I think all of them are adorable. As you can tell with this 16 picture post!! Above we have Snugglemuffin's first time seeing Auntie's new place! I think he approved. He also approved of Auntie having Bob the Builder on he Hulu.  Eventually he decided that he might like to sit by Auntie and watch Bob. Also, Teething much???  I love these two pictures! I love his joyful caught up in the silliness giggles above  And I adore this. Finally a precious picture of us, doing what I love to do! Kissing his schmoopy cheeks!!! I could do it all day long!!!!  The next day we went to Igloo!!! He was less than impressed with the ice cream (Prolly since his Mommy got pumpkin. YUCK!!) But he was smartly eyeballing my Vanilla Marshmallow Coke. Alas I did not share. I love his sweet little half smile.  Rare to get a grin like this in a picture w

Priceless

This was just too funny not to share! One of my students made this for me today and it made my afternoon! Totally going to frame this and hang it in my studio!!

A little glimpse

The Townhouse Tour: The LIving Room- Getting Closer!

This is going to be picture overload but people have been wanting an update on my living room! It's not quite finished but it's much closer than it was when I moved in! Above is the view when you walk in the front door. As you can see I HAVE NEW COUCHES!! I was so excited to get rid of my old country style and get some nice suede microfiber neutral couches! and they are soooo comfy!!  I still need some more lighting in my living room. Working on that.  I am most excited about what I did tonight! Being a Piano Teacher I have lots of kids in and out of my house, waiting on their siblings, ect. I got the great idea to use an old end table and make a kid friendly play station in an empty corner of my living room! I was pretty proud of myself! Snuggelmuffin is donating the use of his CAT truck to all the little boys and girls.  And let me tell you, it's gotten some use out of it in the past few weeks!  I loaded it up with lots of goodies I have had from babysi

Tidbits

I just think this is genius and so awesome! I've had this problem of using up my powder but yet still having "The Ring" as I call it. I began to wonder if I could somehow recycle it and use the rest. With a little bit of googling I discovered YES I can!! It's really easy too!  Just take a butter knife and lightly touch the powder and cut it up into well, powder!!!! Do it for each of your compacts and then pour all of the powder into one compact. Pat it down with the knife until it's packed solid and then take a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol and pour it on. I used just the cap and that was enough for me. You want it all to be wet but you don't want it to be liquid. Pat it down again with the knife and let it dry open for 4 hours and VOILA!! More Powder! It looks kind of funky in the compact but trust me it goes on and covers just the same! I did this with 4 compacts this week and got TWO FULL compacts back! I was so happy! I use BeautiControl Powder and wh
