1. My drink blender broke. I am very saddened by this! Iced Coffee instead of my Fraup was not so yummy. :( 2. I have been home ONE night out of five. I am TIRED. With that said, Saturday is being spent in my Pj's on my couch. 3. Now you know why I have barely blogged lately! 4. I kind of like it being cooler outside and I'm starting to get used to the rain. Not ready for winter but I'm ok with fall! 5. I had the best cookie possibly in my entire 29 years of life on Weds night at bible study. I am saddened that I only had one. boo. 6. I can't wait for Madi's first birthday party next weekend! I got her some super cute stuff! And my BFF Kim made her some neat things for me to give her as well!! I love birthdays! 7. I discovered our campus bookstore sells magazines. Like up to date magazines. Like the newest issue of People on the day it comes out. I LOVE magazines and faithfully read People every single Friday night. I was pretty danged excited. Its the small things

I posted this on my facebook but it was just too funny not to blog about! I was teaching Piano Lessons Tuesday night and was doing the younger sister "Little C", she asked me what Allegretto meant on the sheet music so we got into what I thought was a fascinating discussion about tempos and Allegro vs Allegretto. I was really rolling along and she was concentrating and I just had this moment where I was like YES!! I am a PIANO TEACHER BABY!! This is what I was born for! I was really feeling it at that moment. Little C raised her hand and looks at me with the most serious expression. I leaned forward anticipating some great question about musicality, instead she said "Miss Charity? You have really small teeth!" Um.. Excuse me? "You have really small teeth.... Have you not noticed that?" I was flabbergasted. I asked her if it was a compliment and she did not know what a compliment was. So Big C, her older sister, and I taught her what a compliment was. Well

Monday night I went to Audra's for Girls Nite, yes on a Monday night, we live life wild around here!! And to my surprise I met my long lost Brother!! I think we are twins separated at birth!! Cubbie James and Charity Brooke. We definitely have the same hair! It's been hilarious to see people's reactions to this picture because everyone says the same thing, how we have the same hair. Even Audra said it as I was cuddling with him! I did love meeting Cubbie, he was quite the cuddle bug. Despite his ahem, size and girth, he was sweet! Although there is that small problem of him constantly licking my legs? I told him he was getting a tad too frisky for me! I look forward to spending more time with Cubbie!! And possibly even sharing some styling tips... ;)

Some of you probably wonder why I have been struggling blogging frequently lately. Let me just give you a glimpse of what this past week looked like. Sunday Was at The Farm with my entire family, came back to town late afternoon, had to unpack, do laundry, ect. Monday Work, Grocery Shopped, Came home and Did dishes, Put dishwasher dishes away, baked two boxes of brownies for bible study, watched The Closer finale and nearly had a heart attack, and something else that i can't remember :) Tuesday First thing in the am had my second post surgery scope at the ENT-went perfectly and now i'm cleared for 6 months! WOOT! Went to work for the rest of the day, Taught two piano lessons after work, came home and baked 4 dozen cookies for bible study (a dozen and a half burnt. My oven struggles) and attempted to dye my hair back brown. Alas I did not leave the dye on long enough so it's still light. Wednesday Work, Ran home between work and bible study to get snacks, Got to church 30 mi

So I never officially announced on here that Katie was preggo!!! I've known since the day she found out and had planned to do a big ol post about it but she was never in the mood for pictures and we all know you don't mess with a pregnant woman!! We have been on RED ALERT waiting for her to have Ben and she finally did at 1:00 am Friday morning!! She barely made it to the hospital on time, which we were expecting since her labors move super fast. From her first contraction to birth it was a short 3 1/2 hours! She has sad cell service in the hospital and my number is long distance so she couldn't call me from the hospital phone so I didn't find out untill 8 pm Friday night when her text finally went through! I hustled over to meet little Benjamin Riley Saturday and spent some time with Katie. Her hubby Roberto had to take their oldest Joey to something and was going to be gone all day so I stayed with her for several hours so she wouldn't be alone. As luck would hav

Sunday after church we headed to my Grandma's restaurant and had lunch! Clearly Snugglemuffin gets his cleanliness from his Auntie.... Look at his curls! They were tame on Sunday but the days before they were so big and pretty! I love that he has curly hair like his Mommy, Daddy, Nana, and Auntie!! Look at this sweet, sweet smile! How can you not melt at that?! I got in trouble in church because that is when he is supposed to take his nap. (The one and only time his parents will advocate him sleeping in church! HA!) And I kept looking down to see if he was asleep and he wasn't so I'd smile at him and he'd get the biggest grin and smile back at me. It was just too much cuteness!! My brother made me stop smiling and looking at him though. I am such a bad Auntie! But seriously look at this face!!!!! First picture of our entire family!!! Saturday we loaded up and headed to The Farm for Snugglemuffin's long awaited trip to Nana and Grampys!! He talked to me the entire way, except when he was busy... Chewing on his foot. Hey, It's yummy!! Nana and Grampy were soooo excited to see their Grandson!! Nana had to show him his toy box, loaded with toys!! All that playing wears a boy out so he 'nuggled with Grampy for awhile. He LOVED Grampy. Seriously it was soooo cute!! When Grampy was in the room Snugglemuffin would check to see where he was at quite often and then make faces and smile at him. It was beautiful! I got this for him several months ago it says "My Aunt Digs me" and has a shovel and bucket and dirt! I thought it was adorable! And so very true!! And I just love this because he's soooo happy and excited, albeit a tad drooly. Playing with Nana! Why won't Auntie quit taking my picture and just let me play???!! We got alittle worn out again so we went outside to swing for awhile. I ALMO

Friday after the ill-fated Madi/Snugglemuffin first date, we drove around so he could have a nappy nap and then we headed to the Zoo! It was his first time to go to the zoo and to see animals! I was excited that I got to do it with him! He LOVES water, so he really wanted to play in this. Snugglemuffin got to meet a " Mr Porky-pine" as the little girl next to us called it :) We saw some Monkeys. And then we made our way to the barn!! Neither Snugglemuffin nor Auntie were fans of the llama. I thought for sure it was going to walk out and eat my nephew alive. I literally turned and said to it "I've got my eye on you llama" We got our picture with a fake cow! Which just made me giggle since we have our own, I couldn't not do it!! Alittle messed up in the order but is this not the hugest turtle you've ever seen? I didn't know that God made them that big!! He also got to meet some Prarie Dogs. I thought they looked sooo cuddly! OK I just can't not blog about this so no one tell my brother, ok?OK!!! Thursday I FINALLY got to see my snugglemuffin!! He and his Mommy came to Auntie's apt for dinner! He really liked sitting in my big stuffed chair~ We had a picnic on the living room floor. Mommy had to improvise and use a spit up rag for his bib. Poor guy is a messy eater!! He showed off his ALMOST crawling skills. I was suitably impressed! Our first picture together this weekend!! I just love my baby so much!! I wish they lived here so much this weekend. It's hilarious he is into a pointing phase and points at things he see's. He also will only touch things with his pointer finger. He's very cautious in that regard. Anyway I was holding him and he looked down at my right knee and there was a dark spot on my pink pants, he points at it and looks at me, back down at my knee, back up at me like hey! Ten years ago today I was fourteen hours away from my family at a small Christian College in Florida. Today I went to church with my entire family and worshiped the God that created us all. If it hadn't been for those almost 3,000 people that died that day and the almost 8,000 troops that have died in war since 9-11-01 I would not have that privilege. I had a wonderful weekend spent with my family and my precious nephew yet mixed in the love and happiness and baby snuggles was the sadness and still the lingering pain of what happened ten years ago today. In some respects I cannot believe it has been ten years since it happened as I can remember it so clearly. And in other respects I still cannot believe that it actually happened. On September 11, 2001 I was a 19 year old college Sophomore at Pensacola Christian College. That Tuesday morning I was on the upper floor of the AC in my two hour 8-9:50 am Philosophy of Christian Education class with Dr Bradley. Class was normal as always

Today was Madi and Snugglemuffin's long awaited first date at Arni's! This picture pretty much sums up how it went. Madi was thrilled to pieces to see her man. Snugglemuffin, not so much. We walked in and she was of course all smiley and was meeting him and grabbed at him, I think to hug him. Totally freaked Snugglemuffin out!! He started SOBBING and burying his head on Mommy. It was almost heartbreaking if it hadn't been so funny. I just hate my baby crying :( it breaks my heart to see him sad!! Poor Madi just looked at him like What's wrong? What just happened here??!!! Needless to say we didn't let them sit by eachother!!!! I made sure to give my Madadoodle some love and snuggles. And I didn't cry :) Me and Emboz! 1. I am having the time of my life with my Snugglemuffin here!!! Tomorrow we head to Nana's so I am sure he will forget all about his Auntie, but he has warmed up to me quite well!! 2. Getting off work at 12 on a Friday is pretty doggone awesome as well!! 3. Perfect weather tonight, 70 and raining. I have the balcony doors open. I love fall!! 4. Jessi has got the organizing bug into me. I finally cleaned and organized my bottom drawer at work today. If my former adviser had seen the un-labeled files, she would have had a heart attack. 5. I don't think my apt has been this clean since I moved in last Nov. 6. I am getting tired of people asking me if my hair is curly. It wasn't exactly straight before I cut it short! 7. We transitioned our office into Fall Decorations this week. I had to laugh when people who previously weren't sure about the flowers hanging from the ceiling, were excited about now having leaves. I have brought them to the dark side!! muahahaahah

Today was a busy but fun day! I had my Professional Development Conference downtown, which I discovered is 5 mins away from my apt! yay! Since I was so close to Downtown and got an hour and fifteen minute break! Audie came over to my apt and we had lunch together!! We struggled taking our picture untill I realized it looked fuzzy because the flash wasn't on. So I turned it on and snapped this pic. After looking at it I said Audie- you look weird!! I thought I was being a fabulous friend by telling her this :) Thankfully she looked much better on the computer screen and not the tiny camera screen! After lunch I headed back downtown to the hotel for the afternoon's sessions. Overall it was a really informative and fun conference! There were only 11 of us attending so it was a nice small group. I rocked this sundress for church with the parentals over labor day weekend. One last summery outfit before i look stupid!! Actually since it's so dang cold here, ok well partially just in my apt because i over did the fans and its now colder inside than outside but hey! I am really digging my shorrrrtttt hair! it looked so rockstar sunday!! even after i took a nap! i was quite impressed! Bryna is a miracle worker!! If only she could do my hair everyday!

Or at least that's what it feels like this Labor Day weekend. After being so dog hot, Sunday we woke up and it was rather cool! Today it is very cool outside! I have the windows open in my bedroom and its only 70 degrees in there! YEAH! love it!! I'm dying laundry and baking brownies and for once it's not burning up in here. I love it!! I came home today from the Farm, back to Laffy. Almost killed myself by carrying 8 bags upstairs all at once. I was panting and thought I was having a heart attack when i finally got up to the third floor. Dang near killed myself! But I did carry everything in :) I always come back with way more than I left with. My Momma is good to me! I had a great time at the farm though! I watched two movies and read an entire book. And took one nap :) Got to worship at my parents church with them and that's always fun. Had lots of fresh food, and grilled pizza. yum yum yum that was ooooh soooo tasty!! And i spent all of saturday in my pjs. Now that

Thursday night my Brynners came over and chopped off my hairs!! It's shorter than I had expected but I like it!! I think it will grow out nicely too, instead of looking like my normal shaggy dog look! I had to take a funny face picture for my Caca! I know how much she loves them! :) All I had to do was add some product and scrunch it a little bit as I briefly and I mean VERY briefly put the blow dryer on it! Fastest hair do ever!! I really like it! And I had so much fun with my Bryna!
