It's me, Charity

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Whoopsies! I'm way behind on weekly wrap ups, AGAIN.  Well, better late than never, right??!  This week started off on the right foot, with Dunkin Donuts! Ahhhhhh I just LOVE their coffee!!  I have a tiny little student, and at the Christmas Recital we will be using a Piano on risers, so I knew we would need to make him a little taller. Thankfully someone gifted me several large music books and they are perfect for sitting on!! We are only going to use 3 of them at the recital but I couldn't say no to his request to sit on all of them for a minute. :)  This week in particular started out super warm and then suddenly got cooler at the end of the week. Thursday I had a chiro apt and was waiting on her to come back to the office. So I stood outside in the 50 degree temp for some good ol Vitamin D.  We start off this week's recap with a picture from the weekend that I forgot to add in! on the Friday of Labor Day weekend Emboz and I met up and went to the movies! I think this was the first time we have ever seen a movie in a theatre together in our 900 million year long friendship. We saw Crazy Rich Asians and I was so cute! Definitely a timeless rom-com! I think it's funny how we look like we are dressed for two different seasons. I'm full on Summer and Em is Winter.   I had a nice relaxing Labor Day weekend, spent mostly on my couch with Brenda Lee Johnson on the Closer. Thank you Amazon Prime for putting it back on! I love that show!! I was fighting a weather headache so all my plans of doing things and cleaning and organizing. none of them happen.  At the beginning of the week I got the most exciting item in the mail! A letter from my Snugglemuffin! His first real letter he has sent me!! So sweet! I may have gotten a tear in my eye after seeing my name on the envelope in his sweet little handwriting.  I ordered a Titanic Piano book, and it got lost in the mail, and then surprised me by showing up weeks after ordering it. I had to sit down and have some practice time with it. I LOVE the movie Titanic and had this book back in HS. I actually played two of the songs in it for my senior Piano Recital! I've had a fun time rocking out on the piano this week!  Thursday was a really sad day. The last day of Summer Schedule. I.e. the last day of me getting done teaching before 8 pm. Sniffles. I had plans to celebrate and do something fun that afternoon but those plans fell through so I continued my cleaning and organizing that I started on earlier in the week.  Monday, all I remember is that my Mom came to town and graciously mowed my lawn because #Allergic, and I made her Spaghetti Bake casserole for the first time and it was yummy!  Tuesday was an exciting mail day when not one, but two pairs of shoes arrived from Sears!  These sneaker ballet flats are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn. And I have now purchased a white pair because they are just SO COMFY.  Wednesday I was caffeinated and ready to take on my 8 students of the day!  I was also sporting the most comfy shoes ever and my lane bryant salvation army jeans! WHOO HOO  After teaching 8 students. The work is not done, just because students are gone. I worked on my computer for a few hours until finally calling it a day.  Thursday I was up bright and early to do alll the things. I had a much needed haircut- thin and shape and my hair is so much lighter now! After my cut I hurried home to straighten it, ...

 Monday started off on a great note! My birthday package from my nephews arrived! I died laughing when I saw the shirt my SIL had got me! #ILoveThe90's  And I had to smile when I saw my card addressed to Auntie Chee. Lovemuffin can't pronounce my name, but he can say Chee! So that is who I am now!  My sweet snugglemuffin colored me a snoopy picture. LOVE!! I am going to frame this. Didn't he do a great job!  I also received pretty paintings from the boys. This one is on a shelf in the piano room.  And this one is on my gallery wall in the living room!  Later that night, wearing my new slippers they gave me, and eating leftover birthday ice cream cake. I finally ate enough that I could fit it into a smaller tupperware container. I'm not sure why DQ ice cream cakes have such a TALL lid??!
