17/52

Monday, all I remember is that my Mom came to town and graciously mowed my lawn because #Allergic, and I made her Spaghetti Bake casserole for the first time and it was yummy!
Tuesday was an exciting mail day when not one, but two pairs of shoes arrived from Sears!
These sneaker ballet flats are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn.

And I have now purchased a white pair because they are just SO COMFY.
Wednesday I was caffeinated and ready to take on my 8 students of the day!
I was also sporting the most comfy shoes ever and my lane bryant salvation army jeans! WHOO HOO
After teaching 8 students. The work is not done, just because students are gone. I worked on my computer for a few hours until finally calling it a day.
Thursday I was up bright and early to do alll the things. I had a much needed haircut- thin and shape and my hair is so much lighter now! After my cut I hurried home to straighten it, and then headed off to see....
Kohen! And his Mommy and big brother :) It was my first trip to Jboz's new house and her home is beautiful! Roman took me on a sweet little tour, and then I got to snuggle with my buddy and feed him his bottle.

He is just the snuggliest!! AHHHH I love him!!
I'm already going into baby withdraws.
When I got home my new glasses from zenni optical had arrived. Which was great because my eyes were super itchy. I really like them! I paid an extra 4.00 for some sort of special easier to clean coating, and water resistant? Not sure what it was called but I forget i'm wearing glasses sometimes because the lenses are so nice!
Friday was another early morning, for a good cause! Our first garage sale day of the year!! We hit up a local churches rummage sale. It was our second year of going to it, and it's definitely a favorite. Then we headed over to a neighborhood not far from me, that I had seen advertised on Nextdoor. We got some good deals! I purchased 6 purses, yes 6. In my defense, other than the purse i got free with my points at sears, i haven't bought any purses since garage sales last year. I like to wait until they are dirt cheap :) I was excited because i finally found a nice brown small crossbody purse for garage sale days. No one wants to haul a big purse around. And it was Nine West!
I also got these ADORABLE boots for Audra's baby girl who is coming in July. So cute!! Addie scored some cute outfits as well!
Sunday was my team's bonus sunday to serve. We are still doing our at the movies series so we were supposed to wear white shirts, and then add red vests to them at church so we looked like movie ushers. Yours truly is a messy girl and i didn't have a nice white shirt so i wore a white and black striped. and then when i got to church the only vests left were really tiny ones. So i escaped having to wear a vest. I wasn't sad about that.
It was also Dollar Day, and we were light on people, so I recruited Superman to help with the special offering.

And I laughed my tail off because I thought it was stinkin hilarious.

Superman Selfie with my friend Laura!
Spiderman was helping me out at the info center.

(We ran out of hangers so I hung a vest of him, which i also thought was hilarious. It doesn't take much for me)
After church and cleaning up allllllll the popcorn. I ran some errands, and while I was picking up some groceries at Payless I saw they had early voting, so I got that out of the way. And took the most awkward selfie ever, hunched down in the booth. The guy handing out stickers was uncomfortably close to me in the voting booth. Not really sure why he was in my personal space, but that's what it felt like! So I was trying to hide.

January Recap

Tap, Tap, Tap. Is this thing on? No, your eyes aren't deceiving you, I'm back blogging after almost a year of not posting anything. I did a month long Prayer and Fasting with my church and abstained from Social Media (more about that to come) and during that time I realized I really missed blogging! So here I am! Clearly I'm rusty at this because I managed to upload my pictures in the opposite order, and I'm too lazy to go through and move each and every one of them, so we are going to look back at the month of January from the end to the start! Let's go! The Last day of January was a busy one. Well for me at least, after spending most of 2022 on my parents couch, inbetween surgeries, doing anything is busy for me. I had a piano tuning for Old faithful, my new to me baby grand, so I hung out in my bedroom while my tuner was there, and worked on my laptop. Before that I had my 1 year Brow touch up with Marissa at Lafayette Microblading. It had actually been over a

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t

Frugal Friday- (Some) Tips and Tricks on how I get the most bang for my buck

(Shoutout to Ollies for the perfect Picture for this blog post) Remember when it was January and I said I was going to blog more this year? Well, it's now December, and I haven't blogged since January so clearly that goal went out the window.  BUT! I am here blogging today to share something I'm passionate about! And that is SAVING MONEY! And spending the least amount of money on things. Listen, the lower the price of something is, the more I like it.  I was waxing poetic about this subject to a friend on Marco Polo this week and decided that I felt the need to share it with the world. So, world, (or the three people who read my blog) You're Welcome. Sidenote: These are just some of the ways I stretch my dollars and get money back from purchases. Some of these have referral codes that if you join from them I get some sort of a reward, and some don't have codes, or I'm just not cool enough to know where to find them. Use the code, don't use the code, but plea
