Holy Moley! How is it week 40 already??!!

#ChristmasIsComing !!

Speaking of Christmas, last week 266 Christmas cards left the studio to go home to my students for them to decorate for our service project. This is pretty much my favorite thing we do each year! I can't wait to see their creativity and to see the faces of some of the recipients!!
So Monday started off great. All the cards were divided up, packed up and ready to go, my house was clean, I was organized, I was drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee out of my Charlie Brown mug....
 Life was good!

And it was.

Until 8:10 pm that evening.

Then began a scary time, where I ended up saving my neighbors life.

I didn't get to sleep until 2 am that night, and woke up the next day, still really worried. Thankfully that evening a family member came by to thank me and update me on what was going on.

I slept MUCH better Tuesday night, but it was a crazy week. I was still exhausted from my lack of sleep and all the fear and worry, and still wrapping my mind around what had happened.

I think I took this picture on Thursday. It's October and we had near record breaking heat this past week. I am tired of sweating.

Speaking of sweating, I was sweating in this jean jacket after church today. I wore my favorite sundress HOPEFULLY one last time this year, and when I left for church it was cool, so on went the jacket. When I came out of church it was like walking into a steam bath.

Dear Fall, We love you, please come back with temps in the high 60's and low 70s.

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

The Bible Recap Day 45- Leviticus 5-7 (Year Three Podcast)

Welcome back to Leviticus Friends! Today we are in chapters 5-7 and I'll admit on the first pass through of it, while listening to it on my Bible app and reading along, I didn't make a ton of notes. But when I listened to the pod things made more sense, and I got a lot more from it. Which is why I highly reccomend listening to the pod after doing your reading. TL breaks it down and shares historical and meanings of things that those of us not steeped in our Hebrew, might not know.  Things I found interesting: She mentioned that God is the only one who has spoken so far in Leviticus. Tomorrow we get a switchup with Moses and Aaron but so far the first 7 chapters have all been God talking! We talk about blood some more, and she again makes the note that it is a reminder of the fall and that God is working on rebuilding Eden. She also notes that blood is given back to God because God is the giver and taker of life.  A question I had, when we were in 5:11, talking about the rich a...
