42/52 & 43/52

So Apparently I took zero pictures on week 42 until the picture below Saturday, and Sunday's Selfie Sunday. Not sure what I did all week other than work, But apparently it wasn't noteworthy!

So this is random, but if you are as fascinated by Polygamy as I am, there is a 4 episode show on Netflix you need to watch! It's called 3 Wives, 1 Husband and BOY HOWDY. Hot Mess. I couldn't turn away. And had to text my fellow polygamy tv show loving friends to see if they had watched it.

Also, the guy pictured above looks like Em's husband and it was alternating hilarious and creepy.
It was a balmy 25 degrees outside as I was getting ready for church. It's Winter here in the Midwest apparently.
 Post Church Selfie!

Since it's Winter it's only appropriate to listen to Christmas Music, RIGHT??!!!
That week was my time once again to visit my friends at the retirement home. I hung out on the Alzheimer's wing and we had a great time per the usual! There was a resident there celebrating her 92 birthday that day, so we sang Happy Birthday to her, and she said a few words about what it meant to be celebrating her 92nd. I teared up right along with her when she said she thanked God every day for being here.
When I got back to town I ran some errands and picked up this cute sign at where else, Dollar General! It's going to go great on my galley wall with my large Joy Sign!!
My new bible study started on Thursday, so I got some studying done Wednesday afternoon.
Also that day my new shoes came. Thanks to the Sears Win It app I got two pairs of these shoes, one black, the other brown, for 1.89 out of pocket. I attempted to wear them, and like them, but after wearing the brown ones to bible study and out and about on Thursday I decided that the heels were about to kill me. I also felt approx. 10 feet tall in them.  #Fail
Post Bible Study Selfie after I had ran all the errands and got my allergy shots.

The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and huddled under a blanket. It was cold and windy!

45/52

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
