Open Table night!

Ok these pics are a little out of order but thats ok! :)
Once a month my Women's Bible Study does an Open Table night at our church. Women come and bring their crafts and projects that they are working on and hang out and chat. I had not been to one of these nights because, well, I'm not crafty. there, I said it. the secret is out. Not that it should be a huge secret now, do we all remember the ribbon that was supposed to be a bow that turned out to be a headband? um.. yeah.. 'nuff said.
But Jessica has been telling me about it and so I figured I would go and check it out, not like I had any other pressing events on my social calendar. I'm sure you're wondering what "craft" I decided to do! I went with digital scrapbooking! I haven't scrapbooked since I left PCC in 2003 and you can just imagine how many pictures I have taken in 7 years! Most of them digital! So I thought this would be a good way to put them all together! I actually really enjoyed it! I made one for my Birthdays, which really was a Kim and Cherry book :)
So without further ado- Some pics!!

Jessica and Sheryl were working on Father's day cards. Here is a grill Jessica made for her husbands card, the theme was bar bq! We were trying to come up with a good comment for the inside, Jess wanted to say "You're the hottest Berger" (Berger is their last name) I laughed hysterically and told her that was going on my blog. Thanks Jess:)

And another pic because the lighting in our gym is weird, so just look at it twice in two different colors!
Jessica- Hard at work!! Ok not so much she was laughing at me while trying to glue! Don't glue and laugh!!

Sheryl!!! She was going with a Fishing theme which I thought was super cool because my Dad is way into Fishing. I bet he would be amazed if I made him a nifty card like she made. Too bad he's just getting a card from Factory Card Outlet. Love you Dad!
In conclusion I will say that it was alot of fun!! It was actually really relaxing. I was wondering if I would get tired because I didn't really havea break between work and open table, but it was really nice. I am so thankful for our Women's Ministry and the great Godly women I have met!
I have the best time hanging around Jessica, and I had a great time getting to hang out with Sheryl for the first time! She is a sweetheart! And they both humored me for blog pictures so what is not to love!! :) I will definately be going back again!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
