Linda K. Shaw's Hooker Shoes

So there's this lady I know. By the name of Linda K. Shaw. And she's pretty much fabulous. She's my childhood best friend Amy's neighbor, and my newest Pink Weds convert. For that alone she is awesome. Linda K. Shaw (yes you just have to say the entire name it doesn't sound right without it!) is going to Ivy and heading towards a degree in my dept so she visits us often. And we enjoy every visit!!

Today she came by and wanted to borrow my shoes. In her words it was because she knew i had sasquatch feet. Thanks pal. Yes I wear a size ten shoe but hello i'm 5'9 1/2 " if I wore a smaller shoe i'd probably fall over. But i digress. SO she wanted to borrow my shoes. Sadly for her my shoes were beat up flip flops. So she had to go to Kohls and buy some shoes for her speech presentation. Less than 20 mins later she came back with these....

She called them hooker shoes. If you can't tell they are peep toe and tres' fabulous! I tried them on and I could actually walk in them!! Now it is my life's goal to have these shoes.

My life will not be complete untill I can walk around in these fabulous 3 inchers and be close to 6 ft tall. Its super fun! I forgot how much i missed wearing heels. My knee and new ankleinjury haven't liked it but i think with these i could totally do it.

Present for Cherrybear anyone?? Size 10 please! ;)

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
