7 quick takes

1. Had so much fun at Open Table night! I learned how to make a digital scrapbook, although it wasn't nearly as cool as what Jessica and Sheryl created! I will definitely be going back again!

2. As I write this (thus night) I am watching part of the CMT awards, AGAIN! I am diggin this Zac Brown Band song with all of the little lights. So romantic!!

3. When I walk I swing my right arm. And when I saw I swing It I mean i SWING that arm. I wonder what I look like walking? Probably pretty funny!

4. So excited for no weekend plans except church. I am exhausted and in serious need of a good nights rest. Likewise my apt is in serious need of some vacuuming and cleaning.

5. I got to tell a student good news today and it was literally the best part of my day!!! I was pretty grumpy before that, but making her so happy put a big smile on face! And then she attack-hugged me!! It was sweet!! YAYS for making people happy. love it!!

6. I've really been missing my piano this week. I've been talking to a friend about what I want to do after I have kids and I so want to teach piano and raise my little ones! Of course for that I would need a husband, a house, my piano and children. But minor detail!

7. I have had this song in my head all day and I don't know who sings it... "I'm free... Free fallin" Someone help?

8. And an extra one just for my Dad. It was his Birthday June 10'th! Happy Birthday Daddy!! Love you!!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
