I love making song lyrics my blog titles if you haven't noticed allready. This song is one of my favorite praise and worship songs, I heard it on the radio this morning and it put me into such a good mood for work!
I hung out with Katie and her two sons this weekend and while we were driving around picking up things for Joe's birthday party I noticed she was listening to a Christian Radio station. I loved it! I was shocked though because Lafayette has no had a decent Christian radio station in a long long time. And we all know I will NOT be listening to Rejoice! Heavens knows I listened to it enough at PCC!!
She informed me that it was K-Love which is out of TX and broadcast everywhere in the US. I loved it! I now have my home and truck turned to that radio station. It really is uplifting!! One of the new songs I heard was "Slow Fade" I'm not sure who it is by but it incorporates the Be careful little eyes what you hear, childrens song. The entire time we were driving joe kept BEGGING his Mommy to sing it. So cute! By far the best part of the whole day, even better than cuddling with her ADORABLE KISSABLE HUGGABLE 1 yr old Sammy, was hearing Joe sing Shout to the Lord in the van. It came on the radio and all of this sudden we heard this little voice, praising Jesus. It was the most beautiful thing i think I have ever heard. I had tears in my eyes listening to it. There is nothing more precious than seeing that child like faith.
Sunday I was able to go to church and I saw equally as neat. I love seeing Youth get involved not only in their churches but in their services. When I visited my parents church at Labor Day they had a 17 yr old preach. It was awesome to hear his take on a passage of scripture and see God working in someone so young. Well yesterday at my church our youth pastor, got up with a male from the youth group who couldn't have been more than 15 and thats being generous. They shared what the youth group is doing and what they are facing in schools, and then the kid prayed for the offering. That almost sent me into tears again! Its just so awesome to see our future leaders of tomorrow, being raised up into Godly young men and women. It gives me hope for the future.
I did feel bad for this young fellow, Sam was his name. Pastor Whipple said that in the 8 am service as he was praying, one of our ushers passed out and hit his head. Despite that drama Sam was very calm and composed when he prayed for the second service:)
So all in all it was a great weekend, very up lifting!
and for your viewing pleasure, some adorable pics of Katies boys!!
Joe is 4 and Sammy is 1 and he has be wrapped around his little finger!!
