Last week started off with cold temps again. It was a bit of a rude awakening since Thursday of the prior week had me in shorts and sandals. Sigh. Back to boots and leggings...  One of my students had a birthday and she brought a new "friend" with her to piano lessons. I loved where she placed him! It was rather hilarious to look up there and see a stuffed animal peeking out between her music.  HA!  Wednesday I wore my #pearlsforbarbara to honor the life of our former First Lady.  And I also snacked on the most DELICIOUS sugar cookie from Mary Lou's! If you're from around here you know that Mary Lou's has seriously good doughnuts. but I had no idea they had cookies and other items! Until a student told me! I thought he had the name of the shop wrong. HA! Alas he was correct on the name and also correct on their deliciousness. I regretted only buying two.  Thursday was an exciting mail day. Yes, that is a lazy neck cell phone holder, ...

8/52- The Start of my Birthday Week!!!!

Last week's weather can be summed up in two words. Wind and Rain. And my hair forecasted the weather QUITE well. it was huge and massively curly all week long. Wednesday the countdown to my birthday got serious! Less than a week! I posted this on IG, but I have to laugh when I see this picture. All I can see is my pianist fingers and the space between my pinky and ring fingers. # I like big chords and I cannot lie! So Thursdays I don't teach until later in the afternoon. I Always think I will get a ton of work done at home and on the computer. And I usually end up running errands. That day I had a chiro apt, and then had to run to Aldi for groceries to make my special Sunday lunch for my birthday party with my parents. And I went somewhere else, but I can't remember where....... I failed at taking pictures Friday and Saturday, but nothing exciting happened. Sunday I was super excited for the day and really thankful to be feeling well. Last year my ch...

Well I can't remember a whole lot of last week, so here's a tiny recap! Monday I celebrated back to life from the sinus junk, and treated myself to a Mocha Frozen Dunkin Coffee. My FAVORITE!!  First time wearing makeup and contacts in days. It felt good!  That evening my last student's Mom brought me tulips she had found at Kroger. they were tulip bulbs and I was so excited! Tulips (and peonies) are my favorite flowers!  So pretty!  I scored some clearance items and bought AND WRAPPED my first Christmas Presents for 2018. Now to not lose them in the next 11 months......  Wednesday... Um..... I remember nothing except that I taught!  Thursday I had several errands to run before teaching. I went to Target in hopes of finding this adorable 3.00 gold heart hanging mirror. I saw it after Christmas and stupidly didn't buy it. And of course, it was gone! :( I was so sad. I consoled myself with these Valentine's Decorations.  And...

Monday was my first Monday working since I got sick with the ear mess. I had to drink coffee at my break around 3:30 because I was SO.TIRED. I barely made it thru the day awake and by the time the last student left at 7:30 I collapsed on the couch and pretty much didn't move the rest of the evening! Tuesday was my day to go visit my friends at the nursing home.. I wore a sleeveless top and knee length skirt and sandals, and packed a fan just in case. But when I made my way to the 100 Wing I was pleasantly shocked to find... AIR CONDIDTIONING! Y'all I can't tell you how excited I was! It's usually super hot in there, since the bay window area isn't used all day and the residents are colder natured, so to feel that AC on full blast was amazing! Especially since I still had a fever from my ear ( Don't worry, not anything I could pass on to the residents, unless they were inside my ear with my ear tube ;) ) I took this at the end, and one lady...
