It's me, Charity

 We start off this week's recap with a picture from the weekend that I forgot to add in! on the Friday of Labor Day weekend Emboz and I met up and went to the movies! I think this was the first time we have ever seen a movie in a theatre together in our 900 million year long friendship. We saw Crazy Rich Asians and I was so cute! Definitely a timeless rom-com! I think it's funny how we look like we are dressed for two different seasons. I'm full on Summer and Em is Winter.   I had a nice relaxing Labor Day weekend, spent mostly on my couch with Brenda Lee Johnson on the Closer. Thank you Amazon Prime for putting it back on! I love that show!! I was fighting a weather headache so all my plans of doing things and cleaning and organizing. none of them happen. Well! What a week last week was! I failed at taking pictures except for really one day, but you will understand why soon! And I got the most important day, so you know.. priorities.. Tuesday I was up and awake early, even before my alarm went off.  It was my day to head to a local nursing home that I play at, but even more exciting than that, it was the day my bestie was going to have her baby! I knew what time she had to be at the hospital, but other than that I really don't have much knowledge of c sections, or how long they take. None of my other friends have had that kind of birth, so I'm fairly well acquainted with the other process, not so much the c section process. I assumed it would be speedier. I. was. wrong. Y'all.. When we had passed the 4 hour mark I got NERVOUS. My hands were shaking, and I was just starting to have all the fears. I sat in front of my laptop and kept hitting refresh on her husband's fb page ever...

 Last week started off with a day off on Memorial Day. I took zero pictures and stayed inside in the a/c. It was HOT. I read and relaxed and thought about the people who were missing those they had lost. I'm always extremely thankful for our soldiers sacrifice to keep us safe. We really do live in the best country in the world! Tuesday I taught the majority of my Monday students, and again managed not to take a single picture. I was very confused all day long and thought it was wednesday.  I snapped this picture Weds during a lesson. Does anyone see anything odd about her music?!  Last Monday dawned with Terror in my heart. We were ONE DAY AWAY from the Christmas Recital!! ACK!!!! I went out and got Shot #1 of my new batch of Allergy shots. When your vials run out they mix up a new batch and apparently since it is fresher it is stronger. So they bump you down a bit on the dosage so as to not send you into anaphylactic shock, so you have three shots in about a week's time frame to get back up to your normal dosage.  Tuesday they day was finally FINALLY here!!!!! I put on my new dress and new vest and wished to high heavens that it wasn't so warm outside. Nursing Homes are toasty y'all. even more so when it's warm outside.  I'm happy to say we all survived the Christmas recital. hahahah although nervous Miss Charity did almost fall of her chair a few times.  Last Monday and Tuesday I was off for Labor Day. Monday was spent not feeling well after eating something that didn't agree with me. (Story of my life) And Tuesday I was tired from all that so this picture is rather indicative of those two days! on the couch with a blankie! Also, do you see that temp? I've since moved it, but I have been slowly adding fall decorations here and there! This cooler weather has me in a fall mood!  Thursday I seriously questioned what day it was after two students in a row no showed, and I thought maybe I had the day wrong. Others cancelled and I ended up not teaching until 5:15!!! Usually I have already taught SEVERAL students by then, so that was weird! Mom was in town and came by and mowed for me. And my neighbor. This past week can be described as I started off the week exhausted and ended it the same way! The first week of school is rough!! Monday was the first day of fall schedule, but only two students came at their new times, thanks to meet the teacher night, so it was a bit kabobbled.  During one of my lessons my student looks at me and says... "Miss Charity? Can I just say, your eyebrows are ON FLEEK today!!" I was just glad a different student had explained to me what On Fleek meant, not that long ago. HA!  In accordance of the Summer of Trying New Things, Ema and I decided to try a new to us Restaurant that we had never been to. Triple XXX Family Restaurant. That's right. We've both lived here for YEARS and have never been to Triple XXX! And being the smart people we are, we went the week before Purdue started. I have to say though, the Bert Burger was mighty tasty!!
