Last Week...

Last Weds I had to get up at an un-Godly hour to be ready for the carpet cleaners coming to my home. Since I teach later at night I do not get up early! It was a little rough! Needless to say the next day I slept until 1 pm! I convinced Emboz to go to breakfast with me. Here I am at her house ringing and ringing the doorbell. Just praying she would let me in. She finally did thank goodness!! I drove us to Bob Evans where we had a lovely breakfast with this stinker. She is just SO funny! In this picture I was trying to get her to look at me, and kept saying, Madi, Madi, look at me! She turns and says YESSSSSSS???? with this cheesy face. Love that stinker!!  After I dropped them off back at their house I ran a quick errand for my Mom and then decided that I was going to take myself to a movie! I have not been in a movie theatre since I don't remember when. I seriously don't remember the last one I saw. It's been at least 2 years. I do love going to a movie in the m...

Living room and Control Issues

Well it's a New Year and I have been busy cleaning, organizing and decorating my living room! My Mom made the above Love sign. I think it's really cute! My SIL gave me the Peacock picture to match my curtains. As well as the super cool pillows! I'm currently on a pillow hunt to find two more for my big couch. I also got one of my lamps for Christmas!! I was sooo excited! Look how perfectly they match my curtains!! I'm hoping Gordman's has one more of them so I can have matching ones. Apparently these were a hot item in Iowa! This week i'm fully back into my normal teaching schedule. I'm also starting two new students this week bringing me up to 23 students total! Still have some open slots left that I'm hoping to fill. I'm so in awe of how God has provided! I can't believe I have 23 students! It's seriously the most fun I've ever had!  I was thinking today about how God has knit together this season of my life and everything about it. I ...

The Townhouse Tour: Living Room Updated!

Well I have been hard at work redecorating my living room and it's finally starting to come together!! You might notice two very big changes in the above picture. I got a new to me coffee table and a monogrammed mirror!! I also changed up the kid's section of my "waiting room" as I call it. And got a bookshelf where I could put the books, coloring books, toys, ect on. Much cleaner looking! Mom also brought some of my old dolls from home! It's been so weird/funny to see kids playing with the toys that I did when I was a little girl! I also moved the Baker's rack from right by the door into my kitchen. It was just too cramped. I put up this shelf with some seasonal decorations, as well as my keys, and lipstick for when i head out the door. As well as a small mirror so I can check myself before I head out! This will have a post all of it's own soon, but I made my own Pictorial Family Tree stairway! I love it!! I still have to blow up my Grandpa...

The Townhouse Tour: The LIving Room- Getting Closer!

This is going to be picture overload but people have been wanting an update on my living room! It's not quite finished but it's much closer than it was when I moved in! Above is the view when you walk in the front door. As you can see I HAVE NEW COUCHES!! I was so excited to get rid of my old country style and get some nice suede microfiber neutral couches! and they are soooo comfy!!  I still need some more lighting in my living room. Working on that.  I am most excited about what I did tonight! Being a Piano Teacher I have lots of kids in and out of my house, waiting on their siblings, ect. I got the great idea to use an old end table and make a kid friendly play station in an empty corner of my living room! I was pretty proud of myself! Snuggelmuffin is donating the use of his CAT truck to all the little boys and girls.  And let me tell you, it's gotten some use out of it in the past few weeks!  I loaded it up with lots of goodies I have had from...

The Townhouse Tour- The Living Room(Before)

Well here we are at My Living Room! I've entitled this as Before because there are many things I want to do to it! One of them being new curtains, which I'm ordering this weekend and SUPER excited about! I'm also waiting to get a coffee table and new sofa and a loveseat, so what you see here is temporary. The above picture is what you see when you walk inside my door and turn your head right! My Bakers rack which holds my purse and my keys, and a few random things that I haven't figured out where to store.  This is the big shot of my living room as you're standing in the doorway.  The stairs to upstairs where my bedroom, master bath and spare room/office are. These are immediately inside the door.  Here you can see the stair rail, and my tv armoire and part of my living room. The black chair is actually used for my Piano lessons, so it's only there when I'm not teaching. Here's a look at my windows that will soon be covered by some su...

The Townhouse- A List

I like lists. I love them actually. So in my list loving spirit, I shall make a blog list of what I love about my new place and will not miss from my old! 1. The Geese.  Or lack thereof. I am so glad that I can safely go to and from my house everyday without getting attacked by geese. 2. The Stairs. Or lack thereof. I LOVE that I can walk right into my house and don't have to climb sets of stairs to get there. 3. Grocery shopping. Is much more fun now that I don't have to look at every product and Gage how heavy it's going to be carrying up to the 3rd floor.  4. Silence. Sweet. Blessed. Silence. 5. The closeness to Target. I'm not sure my bank is going to agree with me on this one, but I love living so close to Target and other stores. Saturday night my wireless usb card broke and within 15 mins i had went to target, bought a new one, and came back. Love it! 6. The lack of traffic on Creasy every morning. It actually takes me less time to get to work in ...

Townhouse Tour- The Kitchen!

Today on the Townhouse Tour we stop in the kitchen! It's small but I like it and face it I don't cook much!!!  They put in brand new countertop and flooring, throughout the entire townhouse before I moved in. I have to confess I LOVE the countertop!! LOVE IT!! I think it's so pretty!!  Other side of the kitchen. This side doesn't have tons of counter space but it has enough that I can cook comfortably.  Another view  Sink. I really like my sink, Bryna will be so happy when she does my hair, my hot water gets HOT in about 0.89789 miliseconds. It's crazy!!! I was impressed that I hung my coke stuff somewhat straight.  The stove is across from the sink, and like I said, just enough space to cook comfortably. I may move my canisters to the other side at some point. I'm still trying to figure out how I like things arranged.  Long ways shot. The window blinds cover my back patio doors. Goes out to a patio and a storage space where...
