Brain Dump

I like makeup. I buy makeup. Too much of it at times. However I do not really know HOW to put on makeup. This is worsened by the fact that I don't like spending time getting ready. If makeup can't be applied in 5 minutes or less I want no part of it. I am a sucker for products. I bought Smart Lash from the Derm Store in hopes that it will grow me some eyelashes. I have very sparse lashes and they tend to have falling out issues. Every month and a half it seems like, they start hurting, I rub them, they fall out and I look like I've been thru Chemo or something equally horrific on the eyes. I tried Latisse a year or so ago and it was really expensive, and seemed to give my lashes really thick roots that HURT! So Smart Lash it is. The box says I can see results in 7 days, and full results by 30 so I'm really hoping! I made the BEST Tomato Pizza the other night! And it's super simple. I got a pizza crust from the grocery store, and the put a light coating of P...

Mid Week Confessions

I did my dishes for the first time in 3 weeks last night. Now before you think I'm slovenly I will say this is because my Mom has dropped by my apt the past two weeks and done them for me. I may have waited to do them until she came though in hopes that she would wash them for me. I had loaded mashed potatoes for a snack Tuesday. A 9:30 am snack. In my defense I need to grocery shop and it was that or tuna. I have on a white ruffle shirt with my Pink Cardigan today and I am so worried that I'm going to get food on it at lunch. I have a huge tendency to get lunch on myself. And no, I'm not 4, just that talented. Yup. Totally got tomato juice from my sandwich on my shirt. Attractive! And I just realized all of my confessions have to do with food. nice.

Stop the presses!

I know! I'm being all kinds of crazy and blogging on a Monday, with no pictures! Whoooo!!! Clearly I have went off the deep end. But I figured the 3 people who are still reading my blog might need a little shake up. Things are going well in Cherrybear-land. The weather is gorgeous, life is going fairly smoothly, and I'm learning to trust in God and his perfect timing. Well, trying to at least! I don't think I blogged about it, but I finally have a home to move to in July! My lease on my apt that I have been at for 4 1/2 years is up and since I'm basically disgusted with the management and bursting at the seams I decided to move. After much stress and duress I finally found a townhome that I really like that fits into my budget! YAYS!! The only thing it doesn't have is a garage, but for the price and the niceness of it, a garage I can live without!! So I am super excited about that and super relieved to be done home hunting. Talk about stress. Now th...

7 Quick Takes

1. I am BEYOND thrilled that it is the weekend! I feel like this week has drug on forever and a day. I cannot wait to have two whole days with nothing but Church! Sleep-here I come!! 2. I have worn my glasses 3 days this week. That has to be a record. My eyes are so itchy from the pollen that is hugely abundant that contacts are just NOT going in. 3.  I have a new found love for Annie's Organic White Cheddar Macaroni. I love.it. mmm... It's become one of my safe foods I can eat when i'm having a health flare up. So very yummy!! 4. I put inserts in my shoes so my feet don't slip and slide all over and the inserts glue apparently did not stick. So now my inserts are sliding all over and it is driving.me.nuts!! 5. I can't wait to go home for Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6. After the insanity yesterday my brain is utterly and completely fried. Thank goodness it's Friday! 7. In preparation of my move I'm cleaning out my apt...

Mid Week Confessions

Have you noticed that I do really well at blogging when I have fun events to talk about, but I'm seriously struggling on the day to day blogging?  There is a lady in our parking lot that is a hoarder. like serious, hard core hoarder, if you opened the back of her vehicle stuff would fall out. I am slightly fascinated and horrified by this. As I got out of my vehicle today I looked into mine and realized if I don't clear it out soon there will be two of us here. I still have not gotten used to my new cell phone, so bless their hearts, my poor friends are getting all kinds of weird texts. It is not my fault! Samsung keyboards are alot different than my old keyboard! I still don't know why they need 5 arrows on it to go all over. It's not a word document people, just a text! While we're at it, I'm still having trouble answering my phone, Because I can't find the answer and the speaker button. I almost panic when someone calls me because I...

Sweet NIbbletts, I found an old Diary!!

In preparation of my upcoming move I am deep cleaning my apt. Tonight I found a journal that I started in 1998!! (ack how am I that old??!!) and at the back of it was a lovely list of important standards that I felt my future husband should adhere to. So I'm copying word for awkward word, what I wrote back then. 1.  A solid walk with God.   Well we start off well at least! 2. A love of children. 3. Music lover, but not opera or metal! 4. Must be sensitive and be able to cry. 5. Must have short nails.  Pet Peeve, I still can't deal with men having any whites on their nails. 6. Has to wear decent clothes to church (i.e. no jeans)  Ohhh how the mighty have fallen.. 7. Has to have a steady job. One would think this would be oh, maybe #3?? 8. Has to have an active part and interest in church. 9. Can't have slicked back, greased up hair. 10. Good table manners. 11. Must be cute (to me) and half an inch taller (at least!) 12. Cannot snore! 13. Has to hav...

Random thoughts from people 25-35 years old...

not even gonna lie, I found this absolutely hilarious and painfully true!!! -I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option. -Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong. -Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you're going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to be going? But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the direction from which you came, you have to first do something like check your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that no one in the surrounding area thinks you're crazy by randomly switching directions on the sidewalk. -That's enough, Nickelback. -I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger. -Is it just me, or are 80% of the people in the "people you may know" feature on Facebook people that I do know, but I deliberately choose not to be friends...
