Big News in Cherryland!!

More than likely this will not be the last Blog you hear from me today. I am one of three people at work and it is deathly quiet. I've been playing my Christmas music to try and keep me from nodding off at my desk.. Needless to say its going to be a painfully LONG afternoon!

Anyways, my big news. I am looking into continuing my education at PURDUE and getting another degree!! Two and 1/2 years ago when I finally graduated college, if you told me I would be going back for another degree I would have laughed in your face! But when you work at a University that gives you tuition half price, and the degree you currently have transfers into one of their programs, therefore cutting your schooling time in half, well, its really a no brainer. I'm excited and nervous. I am tentatively planning on starting next fall... I have allready began communicating with the School of Technology, incidentally where my brother got all THREE degrees from!!
So i'm excited and trying to gear myself up for getting in the educated mindset again...I was looking at the course outline and most of them sound really interesting, but STATISTICS?? Good gravy I barely passed math!! eeeegads....Wait untill I tell my former advisor that I am getting my next degree. She will be making an office for me at Ivy so I can come back and teach. :) She did tell me that if I got my BA and wanted to teach there she would hire me, no questions asked. So that is pretty cool. I don't know if I want to teach or continue working in an office but thats something I will figure out later!! For now I'm just really excited!!!
JESUS IS COOL!!!

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

So I'm doing my best to get these weekly wrap up's done on Monday each week. Today has been a DOOZY. It's 9 pm and I am just now sitting down to check email and such. So if this post isn't the most well written, you'll understand once you read next week's wrap up about today!  In happier news we started off last week with my BIIIIRRRTTHHHDAAAYYYYY!!! And nothing says your Birthday like watching One Tree Hill and eating a piece of ice cream cake with lunch. Spoiler alert, I had a piece of Ice Cream cake every single day last week.  The chalkboard was updated, but sadly none of my pictures with said chalkboard looked decent.  I rocked my Be-You-Tiful shirt and a new necklace my Mom had given me.  And then I had a little photo session in the piano room with my balloons. Because, it was my birthday. and I was alone. So why not!  This is pretty much me in a nutshell... :)  Normally, I try to get work done before students arrive...
