7 Quick Takes

1. I got the call from my Dr today and I'm having an MRI on Monday at 1 pm. Slightly freaked out because my insurance won't let me do an open MRI. I have to "fail" this one first. yay.

2. I'm excited for when the AI albums come out. Obviously I can't wait to get Danny Gokey's cd! But I'm also enjoying Kris Allen's sound. He's got a chill, guitar player vibe. I like to listen to him at work.

3. Speaking of music, people who play obnoxious music on their iphone and continuously turn them up louder and louder in the foyer when you are trying to have a nice quiet lunch and read your book, are totally rude and totally annoying. And yes I was totally too chicken to say anything to them. But now I have a headache.

4. I have been drinking coke all day long. Not good for me. BAD ME!!

5. I have Katie's gifts all wrapped i.e. thrown in gift bags and stuffed with some tissue paper (i am not a great gift wrapper.) And I am SO EXCITED to give them to her!!!! I just love an excuse to give someone a gift!!!

6. Its so cold here in Indiana that I have my heater on. yes thats right. Its the middle of july and I am wearing jeans, 3/4 length shirt and a jacket and I have my heater on. I am FREEZING!!!

7. I also have flip flops on. I wore the new shoes yesterday and my poor feet hurt so bad. I ended up taking them off at work and walking barefoot around the office. When I left work they hurt so bad I almost cried. I made it across the first street, but walked barefoot from there to the parking garage. Don't worry, I cleaned my feet as soon as I got home! :)

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

So I'm doing my best to get these weekly wrap up's done on Monday each week. Today has been a DOOZY. It's 9 pm and I am just now sitting down to check email and such. So if this post isn't the most well written, you'll understand once you read next week's wrap up about today!  In happier news we started off last week with my BIIIIRRRTTHHHDAAAYYYYY!!! And nothing says your Birthday like watching One Tree Hill and eating a piece of ice cream cake with lunch. Spoiler alert, I had a piece of Ice Cream cake every single day last week.  The chalkboard was updated, but sadly none of my pictures with said chalkboard looked decent.  I rocked my Be-You-Tiful shirt and a new necklace my Mom had given me.  And then I had a little photo session in the piano room with my balloons. Because, it was my birthday. and I was alone. So why not!  This is pretty much me in a nutshell... :)  Normally, I try to get work done before students arrive...
