Reason #678697 why I don't cook

So today I learned that I really cannot cook whatsoever. I was so proud of myself, I completely cleaned my kitchen, I mean, vacuumed, MOPPED, organized all of my little counter space that had ALOT of stuff on it. And while cleaning I got the great idea to make a loaf of homemade bread! I love my Mom's bread, so why can't I make my own in my bread machine?

Problem #1 was that it takes 3 hours to bake. 3 stinking hours. Not great when you start it around 6 pm and are hungry!!

Problem #2 If the container does not say YEAST on it, and even if you are pretty sure that it has yeast in it, and your mom just forgot to write it on the container when she gave it to you, you should check to make sure it is yeast. Otherwise two hours later, while cleaning your living room you will notice a smell. A burnt smell. A smell usually reserved for when you are making frozen pizza (yes I burn them) or hamburger helper (yes I burnt that last week).

You will be shocked, SHOCKED, to open your bread machine and see a lump of burnt bread dough..... :(

Take Two is tomorrow... We'll see how that goes.. I desperately want to WOW Emily with my freshly baked bread when I have her for lunch next week. We may have to push lunch into the later week because I have a feeling its going to take several attempts to get my bread edible..

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

So I'm doing my best to get these weekly wrap up's done on Monday each week. Today has been a DOOZY. It's 9 pm and I am just now sitting down to check email and such. So if this post isn't the most well written, you'll understand once you read next week's wrap up about today!  In happier news we started off last week with my BIIIIRRRTTHHHDAAAYYYYY!!! And nothing says your Birthday like watching One Tree Hill and eating a piece of ice cream cake with lunch. Spoiler alert, I had a piece of Ice Cream cake every single day last week.  The chalkboard was updated, but sadly none of my pictures with said chalkboard looked decent.  I rocked my Be-You-Tiful shirt and a new necklace my Mom had given me.  And then I had a little photo session in the piano room with my balloons. Because, it was my birthday. and I was alone. So why not!  This is pretty much me in a nutshell... :)  Normally, I try to get work done before students arrive...
