Last Weekend's events

Its bad when you are almost a week past what you wanted to blog about, the memory starts going and it becomes old news.

I did have a wonderful weekend last weekend!! Friday after work I worked out and then rushed home to change and be picked up by Katie and the bubbies. I applied a liberal amount of bath and body works Japanese cherry blossom (SOOO GOOD!!) and lets just say that for the rest of the night Katie and I both had the taste of it in our mouths. yuck.

She picked me up with the bubbies and I got to hear a fascinating story from Joey about the little drummer boy. Did you know his parents died in a fire? I sure didn't. And then we heard some more 5 yr old theology which cracks me up and makes me want to cry at the same time. Joey is learning so much about Jesus at school it is SO AWESOME!!!!

We arrived at Katie's parents house and had an interesting dinner with her Mom. Katie gave me permission to blog about this.. Her Mom wanted us to stay the night and have a sleepover in the living room. Me, Katie and her. (and the bubbies) and we could stay up and talk and paint nails.. at that point I turned to Katie and said Oh BOY Maybe I can braid your hair too!!!!!! Thankfully her Mom missed the sarcasm on that one. Let's just say that after dinner was over and we were done looking at pics of katie as a little girl (she never went through an awkward phase. i hate her) we booked it for the door and her van. We literally got outside and took off running as Katie says, QUICK! BEFORE SHE REALIZES WE"RE GONE!!

Lets also just say that Mt Dew was involved once we got back into town. Ahhh mt dew... how we love you! Of course mine was spilled a scoush when I got out at Walgreens to get our red box movie. Which they FINALLY had My Life In Ruins! I WAS SO EXCITED!! untill we tried to play it in my dvd player and my screen would never come up:( 1.07 down the drain. I was so sad! But we ended up curling up on my couch and talking for several hours and it was so great! We haven't been able to spend quality girl time in awhile so it was awesome!!

Saturday I slept in a bit and got up and went to see my chiro again and he got my neck taken care of. no migraines this week! YAYS!!

Sunday was our Choir's Cantata, Katie and the boys couldn't go so I went alone and it was such a blessing! I loved how Ben had the guy with the awesome voice/accent speak throughout the music. It really brought home to me the reason of this season and what I should be focusing on.

So it was a wonderful weekend and now I am at home at my Parents for Christmas and looking forward to spending a few days with my family! Kev and Liz get in tomorrow night!! YAYS!!

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

9/52

So I'm doing my best to get these weekly wrap up's done on Monday each week. Today has been a DOOZY. It's 9 pm and I am just now sitting down to check email and such. So if this post isn't the most well written, you'll understand once you read next week's wrap up about today!  In happier news we started off last week with my BIIIIRRRTTHHHDAAAYYYYY!!! And nothing says your Birthday like watching One Tree Hill and eating a piece of ice cream cake with lunch. Spoiler alert, I had a piece of Ice Cream cake every single day last week.  The chalkboard was updated, but sadly none of my pictures with said chalkboard looked decent.  I rocked my Be-You-Tiful shirt and a new necklace my Mom had given me.  And then I had a little photo session in the piano room with my balloons. Because, it was my birthday. and I was alone. So why not!  This is pretty much me in a nutshell... :)  Normally, I try to get work done before students arrive...
