Flashback Friday!

It's Flashback Friday here at the ole' blog and today we're featuring Little Cherrybear and her Mommy! The pic above is my first birthday!
Mom always dressed me in style! Here I am at age 2, ready for church! I love that I always looked a like a little girl.(minus my slightly scandalous for a baptist short skirt) Kids these days are in such a rush to grow up and dress inappropriately.
All you need is Mommy, your blankie and your thumb! Love this picture of her loving on me. Incidentally I quit sucking my thumb not to long after this. As the story goes we were at a friends house and I burnt my thumb on a kerosene lamp. That was the end of my thumb sucking days. And yes, I've always been accident prone apparently!
I rocked the Bonnet like no other. I think I'm going to get bonnets for my kids when I have them!
Mom and I at my first birthday party!! On a side note, I don't know who that lady is at the left of my picture. Get away from my candle lady!!
Mom and I at my Grandma's house before a Mother/Daughter Banquet at church. I also love pinnafores. I think they should come back into style! Most of my clothes my Mom made herself, and this is no exception. She is an excellent seamstress! Me, not so much.

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

So I'm doing my best to get these weekly wrap up's done on Monday each week. Today has been a DOOZY. It's 9 pm and I am just now sitting down to check email and such. So if this post isn't the most well written, you'll understand once you read next week's wrap up about today!  In happier news we started off last week with my BIIIIRRRTTHHHDAAAYYYYY!!! And nothing says your Birthday like watching One Tree Hill and eating a piece of ice cream cake with lunch. Spoiler alert, I had a piece of Ice Cream cake every single day last week.  The chalkboard was updated, but sadly none of my pictures with said chalkboard looked decent.  I rocked my Be-You-Tiful shirt and a new necklace my Mom had given me.  And then I had a little photo session in the piano room with my balloons. Because, it was my birthday. and I was alone. So why not!  This is pretty much me in a nutshell... :)  Normally, I try to get work done before students arrive...
