What's Up Wednesday- March Edition!

Whooo Hooo!! It's What's Up Wednesday! Joining in with the girls to talk about what's up lately!

What I'm eating this week: Ranch, ranch, everything ranch! My Friend gave me a bag of hotbox ranch for Easter so I've been dipping anything and everything into ranch. Tonight I'm making some hamburgers for dinner after I'm done teaching.

What I'm reminiscing about- Nothing that I can think of?

What I'm loving- Finally having a smartphone!!! Nothing like a new technology gadget to get me excited!!

What I've been up to- Well I posted about Easter, and this week it's just work, work, work! I've been working on my taxes which is never fun.

What I'm dreading-Taxes. Blech.

What I'm working on- Teaching little, and big people to play the piano :)

What I'm excited about- April and hopefully consistently spring like temps coming. My allergies and my wardrobe is ready for it to pick a season and stay there!

What I'm watching/reading- I just started re-watching Desperate Housewives on Hulu. I am a binge watcher for sure, but I love watching shows that I haven't seen in years, for background noise while I'm working on stuff, or eating dinner, ect. As for reading, I just finished Lisa Gardner's latest book. Creepy but good! And I'm excited to start reading Melissa Tagg's newest novel that just arrived this past weekend!

What I'm listening to- Right now it's the sound of Thunder, rain, and the fridge. In 11 minutes it will be a student playing the piano, and probably telling me how "hard" her piece was :)

What I'm wearing- I still think this question is creepy. But i'm wearing my skinny jeans that are super worn but very comfy, and a new green plaid shirt I got at Target. And my beige inside ballet flats.

What I'm doing this weekend- Nothing!!

What I'm looking forward to next month- Hopefully nice weather and more time spent outside!

What else is new- Really nothing! It is shaping up to be a busy, but somewhat dull week and I am good with that!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
