I'll be hoommmmeee for Christmas!

Last night at Casa Charity was spent cleaning and decorating for Christmas! I usually put my tree up after Thanksgiving, but my parents brought it and my two tubs of decorations down to me last weekend, so I decorated last night.

It looks really festive! I am loving my new pre-lit tree, even if the middle of the tree has a strand that keeps blinking off. I totally did NOT add another strong of regular star lights to it to pretend that it worked. nope, not me!!

I even decorated my bathroom! The only place in my apt that isn't very Christmas-y is my bedroom. Really how can you take something pink and purple and make it look Christmas like? Well actually I did that with my bathroom but minor detail. My one consession to the season in my bedroom was switching to my red and white snowflake flannel bedding. Sadly, somehow I lost my dust ruffle in the moving process last January, so I currently have my snowflake comforter on top and my purple and white dust ruffle on bottom. I plan on just closing my bedroom door when guests come.

I decided since I was decorating I might as well spruce the place up and seriously clean. So I did. For two hours. I still have my bedroom to clean tonight. Mostly I just have clothes sitting around that need homes. (Work clothes) I seem to have more clothes than I have space to put them... hmm.. not really sure how that happened? :) So that is the goal for tonight, as well as finishing packing for the trip home to my parents farm tomorrow night!

I am SOOOO EXCITED to go home and get to spend time with my entire family. All 6 of us!! For several days. I haven't been home since Labor Day and I haven't been home at the same time as Kev and Liz since.. uh... *ponders* Mother's Day!! So that will be alot of fun! Liz and I are allready looking forward to our black friday shopping with Mom. Which if you're thinking we're those people that camp outside of stores at 4 am you are soooo wrong!

We go into the shopping mecca of Rensselaer, Indiana! And head to the world's smallest walmart. (seriously, it is!!) Walgreens (I'll think of you Coral!!) And the Dollar Tree.. Not too exciting to the rest of the world but exciting to us! And that early morning nonsense? hahahah no, we're lucky to get there by 10 am, which in Rensselaer time is really 9 am!! (gotta love the Indiana time changes!!) We're back by 2pm and then its NAPTIME for the cherrybear!! Or at least I hope it will be!!

I still have to pick out a DVD to bring home for us to watch... My movie picking reputation has been tarnished by the accidental purchasing of Jarhead two Christmases ago.. Seriously, never watch that movie. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY!!! So I am continuously working to redeem myself. Otherwise my Dad just might kill me!!!
DISCLAIMER: I did NOT buy the toilet covering, that was ALLLLL my MOM! If you don't believe me, ask my SIL Liz, she has a matching one!! :)

JESUS IS COOL!!

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

So I'm doing my best to get these weekly wrap up's done on Monday each week. Today has been a DOOZY. It's 9 pm and I am just now sitting down to check email and such. So if this post isn't the most well written, you'll understand once you read next week's wrap up about today!  In happier news we started off last week with my BIIIIRRRTTHHHDAAAYYYYY!!! And nothing says your Birthday like watching One Tree Hill and eating a piece of ice cream cake with lunch. Spoiler alert, I had a piece of Ice Cream cake every single day last week.  The chalkboard was updated, but sadly none of my pictures with said chalkboard looked decent.  I rocked my Be-You-Tiful shirt and a new necklace my Mom had given me.  And then I had a little photo session in the piano room with my balloons. Because, it was my birthday. and I was alone. So why not!  This is pretty much me in a nutshell... :)  Normally, I try to get work done before students arrive...
