My Birthday!!

We all know I celebrate my Birthday BIG. I am fond of calling it my Birthday week. This year it has stretched out a little bit longer than a week, and I am ok with that! :)

Friday got the weekend started off with a special surprise dropped off by one of my students! A Gigi's cupcake!!! This is how I felt..

If you've ever had a Gigi's cupcake you understand my excitement. If you haven't, I will pray for you.
Gigi's cupcakes are the most delicious cupcakes with about 3 inches of frosting. Possibly 4 inches. It's massive and wonderful!
The only thing better than one Gigi's cupcake is two Gigi's cupcakes. Hashtag Blessed.
Friday night I went to Gigi's for my free birthday cupcake, treated myself to Firehouse subs, and then went to Gordman's to redeem the Birthday cash they sent me. I got some yummy smelling body spray, super cheap! Love Gordman's!
And then on my way to check out the shoes I just happened upon the clearance purse section and ran into this beauty..
Marked all the way down to 13.00!!!!!!!! I was in love.
Saturday it was my Birthday!! I highly recommend having your birthday on the weekend. I got to sleep in, didn't have to set an alarm, or teach, it was glorious!!! My Dad had to work so my parents came later in the day for a birthday dinner and to hang out for a while! It was really nice! I cleaned my house hardcore before they came and set up the cutest table scape that I forgot to take a picture of :( Mom made my favorite ham, and I made some amazing salad, and scalloped potatoes. YUM. I slightly overdid it on the size of our salads, we barely had room for cake. Which I also forgot to take a picture of. Whooops. This year I requested Angel Food Cake for something different. I think it was the first time in 34 years I didn't ask for chocolate cake! Who am I and what is going on???!
While I was waiting for my parents to arrive I entertained myself by taking pictures. Because, of course.

I wanted to look cute for my birthday, but it was Saturday, I was sleepy and wanted to be comfy. So I chose my favorite cute and comfy Birchbox sweatshirt to wear!

Me and my gifts. My Mom loves to wrap gifts and then put them inside other boxes.  So all of my gifts were inside this box and wrapped! One year at Christmas she gave me a big pack of socks and wrapped each sock individually. Thanks Mom.
Speaking of my Momma, this is one of the best pics we have had together in a long time! She is beautiful inside and out! I don't know what I would do without her! She is truly my best friend!
And my Dad isn't too shabby either. He was getting tired from a busy day's work, but he still came and celebrated his baby girl's birthday. He works hard for our family and loves us with all he has!
My Parents gave me this really cool "C" that lights up. I put it on the bottom shelf of my sofa table and tried to get a good picture of it. Yeah, I need to work on that. But it is really pretty! I love anything that lights up!

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

9/52

So I'm doing my best to get these weekly wrap up's done on Monday each week. Today has been a DOOZY. It's 9 pm and I am just now sitting down to check email and such. So if this post isn't the most well written, you'll understand once you read next week's wrap up about today!  In happier news we started off last week with my BIIIIRRRTTHHHDAAAYYYYY!!! And nothing says your Birthday like watching One Tree Hill and eating a piece of ice cream cake with lunch. Spoiler alert, I had a piece of Ice Cream cake every single day last week.  The chalkboard was updated, but sadly none of my pictures with said chalkboard looked decent.  I rocked my Be-You-Tiful shirt and a new necklace my Mom had given me.  And then I had a little photo session in the piano room with my balloons. Because, it was my birthday. and I was alone. So why not!  This is pretty much me in a nutshell... :)  Normally, I try to get work done before students arrive...
