Hail, Hail Purdue!!

I have VERY EXCITING news today! I have been offered a job at PURDUE UNIVERSITY and I accepted it!!!!! WOOT! I start Monday, August 18, which I believe is the day that fall classes start so that should be extra interesting! lol

I will be working as a Receptionist/Admin Assistant for the Deans Office/Student Services of the school of Consumer and Family Sciences. I am very excited at the step up in my career. I have been wanting and needing a change and a challenge for quite some time and I'm excited at the opportunity to move forward in my career and grow!

I haven't told my boss yet at Kelly. I have been off yesterday and today, due to a horrible back problem. I would tell you about it but Lisa says it makes me sound like an old woman so I'll refrain.:) I'm waiting to get the offer from Purdue in writing before I let my boss know I'm leaving. I'm sure I will cry! Although I have no reason to!!

JESUS IS SOOOOO COOL!!

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

New Bedroom Decor!

Every Year my SIL outdoes herself with the gifts she gave us the year before. This year was no exception! She made this amazing picture for me. If you look close all of the pieces of the heart are small pictures of me and my friends! I was amazed! I still can't get over it! I just love it so much!  So I decided to hang it above my bed. I don't have a headboard and I have really felt like my room was lacking something to pull it together. I think this picture does it nicely! And yes, I sleep with a stuffed animal. I'm single, don't judge! I also sleep with 5 pillows. I tend to fall out of bed. They are like my bumpers! HA! Seriously though I just love it and it's so neat to look at all the pics of different friends and stages in my life and remember all of the fun memories! Thanks Liz!!
