Seven Friday

Catherine has inspired me to try and do the Seven Random Things about me Friday. So here goes...

1.I prefer Fountain Pop with Ice! to Pop in a can (and yes I call it Pop) There is just something about the taste of a Fountain Pop that is sooo much better than a can. But I will still drink canned pop.

2. I am obsessed with People.com and People magazine. I check the website everyday and I start every weekend reading People Magazine. It just feels like my time to relax and not have to think.

3. I can't stand the feeling of my knees touching eachother when I am laying down or sitting on the couch. I always have to have a pillow between my legs in bed, and a small pillow between my knees on the couch. It really bothers me.

4. Christmas is my favorite time of year. I absolutely LOVE buying presents for people and trying to find really meaningful things to give them. The best present I ever gave was to my Grandma the Christmas after my Granpda died. I snuck into her house and stole some of his love notes, and got an awesome Silver Frame that has engraved on it the verse "I thank my God upon every rememberance of you" and arranged his love notes in it.

5. I have bigger feet and hands than my Mom, but she is still over an inch taller than me. She has very tiny hands.. Especially compared to me!!

6. For that matter my feet have grown half an inch in the past year. I now wear a 9 1/2 shoe!! I'm terrified to have kids because I hear your feet grow during pregnancy! YIKES!!

7. I was supposed to be born on Valentines Day, but didn't come untill 13 days later, Feb 27. My Parents also thought I was a boy. SURPRISE!!!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
