My Nefariousness is rubbing off!!

I'm a bad influence and I love it!! :)

Yesterday at work, we found out that this guy would be coming to our office, he weirds us out and he always comes through the back door by the back desk. Which always scares the life out of me.

Plus, I think its rude. Its not Grandma's house, you don't come through the back door of an office thats not yours! You just don't!

So I decided to teach him a lesson and train him to use the front door. So I locked the back door when I knew he was coming up to our office and sat in my chair and giggled proud of myself.

Sure enough, within two minutes I heard the door knob being jiggled and turned and I started snickering, which I tried to cover up with a cough.

I was pretty proud of myself, well, at least I was untill he put his master key in the door and let himself in.

Then I was just annoyed.

We had a good laugh about it later after the rest of the office got back from their meeting. (this is what happens when we are left alone!!)

I came into work this morning and found this picture laying on my desk.

Apparently my boss thought my trick was so funny, she decided to do it to a secretary on the dean's side. So she hung this sign up on the back door.

We all found it hilarious. Brenda, not so much!!

I'm rubbing off on them. And I love it.

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
