Babysitting the Bubbies!!

Joey and his pancakes. As we were eating he looked up at me, and very politely said "Charity? I don't really enjoy the taste of these..." yeah. he's 4!!!!! I almost choked on my pancake from my laughter!!
Sam-Sam on the other hand had NO PROBLEMS with his pancakes. And of course he did his 3 hour meal. Eat alittle bit, go play, come back and take a few bites, go play. and repeat..

Usually you stick a camera in front of him and he's a cheesehead, he hasn't quite figured out the whole self portrait yet. Don't worry, he will..

Here are the bubbies on my couch watching cartoons. Yes I am the bad babysitter that lets them watch cartoons. Hey at least I didn't feed them ice cream at 10:30 am, although It DID cross my mind... Have you noticed that Joey likes to look down in his pics? Yes, Apparently thats what SONIC does. And if you think Sonic means the drive in, well then we need to have a talk.
The funniest moment of the morning came when I was sitting on the couch with Joey "watching" cartoons. he very calmly said "Charity, you have a bug on your shoulder." I, of course, screamed and started batting it off of me. He said, you're not afraid of bugs! I said well I don't really like them but I'm not afraid of them. He said No, you're afraid of Bunnies!!
I about fell off the couch. I said, EXCUSE ME?! And Joey said yeah, You're afraid of bunnies! I said Joseph, who told you that? Oh I just know, he said. No seriously Joe, who told you that? My brain, he replied.
Seriously. Four year olds. Gotta love them.
Thank you Mama Katie for letting your child know that I'm terrified of bunnies. When I told her of that conversation she was so proud of her son, you would have thought he won a noble prize.

stinkers.

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
