Bits and Pieces

Crystal Light-Pomegranate Lemonade is pretty much the greatest thing ever invented. LOVE.IT.

Also love the automatic spell checker on blogger since I apparently don't know how to spell Pomegranate. ooops.

Not loving the whole being stinking bright outside when I wake up in the a.m. Today I shot halfway out of bed because I thought I had overslept. Alas, it was only 6:15. Hey, 10 mins of extra sleep is always needed!!!!

I saw God answer a HUGE HUGE Prayer this week. I can't wait to talk about it!! But I can't, not just yet!!!!! But its pretty stinking cool!!!!

I worked out last night and tonight, on my cardio bike while watching my DVR. Both nights I burned 1000 calories each workout. I am desperately trying to get into some semblance of shape before I am a bridesmaid.

Whooops.. can't spell semblance either.. my bad..

Went to the Dr today for a normal visit and found out I have ANOTHER UTI. Second in a month. Have no clue what is wrong with me. I never get them? How can I prevent it?

Very very VERY happy that Purdue's insurance is kick butt.. Getting 5 medicines filled today only cost 17.83!!!! YAYS!!!!

I really seem to have a problem getting people's birthday presents to them on time.. Liz's was in May, and her presents are sitting at my parents house waiting on someone to go to Iowa. (heavy breakables, can't mail!) Kim's birthday was Sunday, haven't even finished shopping for her yet. Have stuff but am waiting on divine intervention on what exactly I can get her that she doesn't have!!
And My Dad's birthday is TOMORROW, and yup, you guessed it!! NO birthday present for him either!

Although in my defense, I do know what i'm going to get him!!!

I Apologize if you are my friend and I am crappy about getting gifts to you on time. I have post offices. Seriously. With a passion. Thats why I send stuff to be mailed with my Mom when she comes to town! HAH!!!!!! Love ya Mom!!!!

It's all good. I got a Christmas present from a friend in May...so you are still good :) And you don't have any money to spend on me, so you really don't need to buy me anything!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
