A night with the Bubbies!

Me and Sam Sam- Picture taken by Joey!! Go JOE!!
Saturday night I had the pleasure of spending time with the Bubbies!! Katie needed an emergency babysitter so I came to the rescue! I had sooo much fun!! Sammy was tired and when he is tired, he is cuddly, which I LOVE. So I spent most of the evening with him in the crook of my arm like the picture above.
Look at that face!! How can you not just fall in love??!

Joey spent the entire evening playing a skateboarding video game. This was pretty much my view of him the entire time. The back of his head.

I am happy to report that I am teaching Katie's kids so much, like the fine art of Stalking!
Last time I taught them how to say Caca, this time its using binoculars. I am a GREAT babysitter!!
I really did have a wonderful time watching them. The best part of the evening was when I put Sam Sam to bed and I rocked him for awhile before he laid down. Oh man. It was just precious. Made my ovaries ache. Everytime I am wait Katie's kids it only solidifies the fact that I desperately want to have my own children. Of course I need to find a man first but minor detail! I love those bubbies. Seriously Katie, anytime, I will take them!!
After the boys went to bed, Katie and Robert came home and we sat around talking and LAUGHING for three hours. I finally left at 1 am:) Didn't get to bed untill 2 am! Needless to say I skipped church on Sunday. Bad sinner, I know.
I had tons of fun with Katie and Robert. He has always been at work when I'm over at their house so I haven't gotten to spend much time and get to know him, but I think we accomplished that on Saturday night! He is pretty funny, even if he is Preppy! ;)
I am going to behave myself and keep my mouth shut about what all we talked and laughed about. But I will leave you with this news link.. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,538460,00.html?test=latestnews

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
