7 Quick Takes

1. It is a beautiful fall day outside! Overcast, very windy, and in the 60's, I have my balcony door open and am loving listening to the wind whip through the trees!

2. I have got to get back to a normal sleeping schedule. I have been staying up untill 11:30-Midnight and then I can't get to sleep for hours! SO I sleep in late and sometimes am so exhausted I have to take a nap, which only worsens the whole not getting to sleep at night!

3. Is it me or is Facebook seriously messed up today? Its giving me status updates from last night?!

4. So Happy for my friends who are welcoming their hubbys back from deployment! One just got in the US yesterday and the other is scheduled to arrive soon! Thank you Lord for keeping them safe!!

5. Seriously excited that Cindy found out she is having a baby girl! I would post a picture of her and the tiniest cutest baby bump EVAH, but I think she might just kill me. Can't wait till she has her baby and I am listening to the birth on the phone, just like she and I did years ago when we were at college together and her niece was born!

6. I am having this urge to buy all new fall clothing. It happens every fall, heck everytime the seasons change, I want an entire new wardrobe! Sadly, that isn't going to happen!!

7. I think I'm going to start going Grace in the Small things, once a week, probably on Sundays, and post all of my graces from the entire week. As you can tell I'm struggling doing it everyday!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
