Every time I pick up Sammy or another baby/child I automatically go into that natural hip swing that all Mom's have. Problem is, I'm not a Mom! I've noticed it alot lately because when I go to Katie's Sammy will always run to me and hug me and he's gotten to where he will lay his head on my shoulder and just cuddle with me for at least 10 mins. Its SO adorable and I love it!! Its funny though because as soon as that little head goes on my shoulder its like flipping a switch onto my hips and I start that hip swing/sway motion.
Apes is always telling me that I'm motherly and its true. Every Roomie I had in college, even the ones that were older than me, they ALL called me Mom. (Ok and Momma Ghetto... long story!) I think my motherly instincts are coming out with our students as alot of them are stressed out and worried when they come in and i always try to calm them down and cheer them up. Invariably as soon as they leave, Apes will turn to me grinning and say You're so Motherly!!
I guess there are worse things to be called :)
