7 Quick Takes

1. We successfully made it through non-instructional week! granted the emergency candy stash was taken out several times a day, but minor detail!!

2. I GOT MY CAMERA!!! Haven't figured out how to upload pics yet but again a minor detail! I am back to documenting every aspect of my life! I know, you're thrilled!! Kinda bummed that it doesn't do well taking quick successing pictures but it works and takes decent ones so I will take it!!

3. Tomorrow is a busy day! I have Emboz's baby shower!! And then after that Apes and I are having a girls movie/craft night! YAYS! I have allready reserved an appropriately cheesy chick flick from redbox and am anxiously awaiting glue gun and sparkles in hand!! Have no fears, there will be pictures and posts of it all! :)

4. Today's Flashback Friday was all about the ghetto thuggin. A little Coolio, a little Notorious B.I.G. oh yeah, Vanilla Ice Pandora you never dissapoint me!!

5. I was aghast with shock this week when I found out someone I know has NEVER been to Olive Garden!! Can you believe that??!! I am going to remedy that soon, partially because now after talking about it I have a huge craving for some salad and breadsticks dipped in alfredo sauce of course... mmmmm... yummy..

6. I'm having a Pool Party at my parents over Labor Day weekend and I'm SO excited!!!!! I hope everyone can come! We can all get burnt together :)

7. I had my second and hopefully final visit to the Dentist this week and it was less than stellar. yesterday was not such a good day... Well one part was good, but the rest pretty much sucked. I'm still a little sore.. :( whine whine. :(

Book Review: The moments you were mine by LJ Evans

  Once again I was lucky enough to be on the ARC team for another book by LJ Evans. Since I have discovered LJ she has become one of my top 5 must read authors. LJ’s books are like Christmas Day. Or your birthday if you’re like me and obnoxiously celebrate both. :) You count down the days until it happens with great expectation and excitement and then it gets there and you almost don’t want it to be there because then it will be over and you have to wait another 364 days for the magic to come by again. Thankfully for all of us LJ writes more than one book a year so we are all #blessed in that aspect. I’m always super excited to get and read her books, but it’s a mixed feeling of not wanting to start reading it because then it will be over, and I can’t wait to read it and see what happens. This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church.
