Craft Night @ Cherry's!

Apes and I had a girls movie night/craft night on Saturday!! She brought over some yummy spaghetti which we enjoyed for dinner and then we attempted to watch a chick flick. I say attempted because we made it 10 mins in and she looked at me and said, Do you want to go get ice cream? I replied, and ditch this horrible movie? um, YES!! I had a clue when there weren't any previews on the DVD that might be a bad sign. Indeed it was!!

So we went to DQ and got some ice cream and sat outside and talked for about two hours untill it got dark. It was SO relaxing!! It was a beautiful evening with a perfect breeze, ice cream and good friends, really what more can you want? Finally around 9 pm we came back to my place and got our craft on!!

Apes took a plain picture frame she had and added beads, rhinestones and a heart with ribbon to accentuate her beautiful bridal shot!! SO pretty!
While I made the most sparkly headbands you can ever imagine!! I made a light blue one for me and a dark blue one for Apes! We both wore them to work today and we call them our Tiara's!!
I made a skinnier silver and sparkly one as well.
The fruits of our labor!!

It was so much fun!! I told my Mom about it and she told me to watch out I was becoming crafty! I think I am!! I like creating things, its the musician in me!! I"m creative! I can't wait to get more headbands and sparkly stuff and go to town!!

The only bad part of this was that I massively burned my thumb with my hot glue gun. I was on the third headband, APES, and I glue onto the stone and went to place the stone on the headband and it slipped from my left hand and fell onto my right thumb. I screamed bloody murder. And yelled out "Rats, Cats and Dirty EYEBALLS!! THAT HURTS!!!!"

Yes, that is my new saying. Anyways, I've got one poor injured thumb. Which I keep reminding Apes of. The sacrifice of my love! :)

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

New Bedroom Decor!

Every Year my SIL outdoes herself with the gifts she gave us the year before. This year was no exception! She made this amazing picture for me. If you look close all of the pieces of the heart are small pictures of me and my friends! I was amazed! I still can't get over it! I just love it so much!  So I decided to hang it above my bed. I don't have a headboard and I have really felt like my room was lacking something to pull it together. I think this picture does it nicely! And yes, I sleep with a stuffed animal. I'm single, don't judge! I also sleep with 5 pillows. I tend to fall out of bed. They are like my bumpers! HA! Seriously though I just love it and it's so neat to look at all the pics of different friends and stages in my life and remember all of the fun memories! Thanks Liz!!
